[/b] muttered Max to himself, eyes scanning the area to see if he could spot anything. They had been travelling for awhile since leaving the Aegis Team base. They being Max, the Shield Liger and Marcus. It was a rather vicious battle that left Marcus and Max without a Zoid, or at least Marcus since Max's old Shield Liger was delivered to him from his hometown. They had crossed through the desert wasteland, Max having assumed that the ruins he heard about were there. But the coordinated he had gotten put farther out east of Romeo than expected, passing the desert and actually moving into grasslands. Eventually, the grasslands would become a jungle that grew denser as the Shield Liger pressed forward. Eventually there was only enough room for the Zoid to barely walk through the trees. After a few more kilometers, the Shield Liger would find itself facing a small clearing. At the center of the clearing rested a stone structure buried in vines and moss. The structure was the remains of a building, the entrance not only able to fit the Shield Liger, but also leading underground. "Hey Marc, you awake?" questioned Max, making the Shield Liger creep in through the entrance, walking slowly as Max kept his eyes and senses alert. Turquoise eyes were agape in sheer interest, the youth enjoying every square inch of the ruins. While run-down building structures were boring to most, Max found himself only passing time by exploring ruins such as this. [/ul][/ul][/sup]

<enter/awaken>
"Ngh... What the...? Marcus would whisper to himself, his droopy eyes blinking three times to adjust himself to the light. Looking around lazily, he had concluded almost instantly that he had been out for more than, at least, an hour, if not more. "Mmm... This is what I get for refusing medical assistance..." he moaned to himself, rubbing his broken wrist again as a reminder to never take off a sling that was placed there for a reason.
Looking up slowly, he was greeted by Max's rather friendly mug, only to slowly groan, though out of fatigue. He wasn't frustrated with him in the slightest, though being forced to (overstatement) tag along with Max to go Zoid hunting was rather droll for him. Not to mention the fact that he probably was getting his jolly right now just seeing Marc have to go searching for a brand-new Zoid. Have your laughs, Max, 'cuz I'mma take you out eventually... he would begrudgingly think to himself, flashing a rather friendly smile towards the blue-haired kid.
"Umm... Where exactly are we?" Marcus would question as he had finally caught gaze of a dense, jungle scenery; the tropical plants and wildlife were practically oozing awesomeness in the boy's eyes. Never before had he seen actual jungles like these, due to his rather sheltered life in Romeo City, but one really couldn't blame his interest in the lush wilderness of such... humid climates! Tugging at the collar on his black, button-up shirt, he had let his tongue loll out. "Yikes, dude! You just had to pick a hot landscape, huh? he would frown ferverntly at Max, trying to adjust to the nasty temperatures of the jungle.
Marcus was always more of a winter person, as he had a better chance at adjusting to the colder climates. He had always hated humid and hot temperatures with a passion, and this was no exception. Though, at this point, it seemed as though Max knew what he was doing -- after all, he was the one with the Zoid, much to Marcus's despair and frustration.
Watching as the blue-headed kid led his Shield Liger down what looked like ancient ruins from a lost civilization, he had sighed in relief. Finally, some cool shade! Sitting back in his seat, waiting ever so patiently to allow Max to open the cockpit panel, he waited for the opportunity to just say "Screw you!" and leap out to go exploring himself. Having Max around probably would have helped him search for a wild Zoid easily, but in Marcus's case, help only hindered him; especially since it was the guy who destroyed his Rev Raptor helping him. Grudges aside, though, he was the last person he wanted helping him go Zoid-searching.
"Y'sure you know where yer' goin'? Yer' leadin' us into a dump." Marcus had questioned bemusingly, adjusting his hairtie so that his ponytail didn't slip out, nor would any stray hairs on the back of his neck. Sighing in boredom, he simply hoped nothing bad would happen. If anything did, though, Marcus would usually find something good out of it. Things like that normally happen to the kid with the ponytail.

[/b] spoke Max in an almost kiddish tone, absolute glee filling the youth's mind at the thought of what he could discover. He had to thank Marcus, for if it weren't for him he would probably still be looking for a Zoids Battle instead of exploring ruins like his old days. An eyebrow would raise at the boy bringing up the temperature before furrowing. He was doing the guy a favor, so surely he could go without the whining. With a slight sigh, he would find the controls for the Shield Liger locking, the Zoid letting out a slight roar. Max raised an eyebrow, looking back at Marcus with a slight nervous laugh. "Looks like Nike's right front claw needs adjusting... It'll only take five minutes, tops." grinned Max before unstrapping himself and opening the cockpit. Grabbing a bag at his feet and standing up, Max would grin a bit. Slinging the bag over his shoulder, he would leap out the cockpit and sprint to the afforementioned claw. Kneeling down and rubbing the joint, the Shield Liger would growl as if complaining. With a slight laugh, Max would open the bag. Busting out a ratchet, he would set it to the face of the Zoid's armor, turning as hard as he could to tighten the joint. Once he finished, he would sigh in relief while whiping imaginary sweat. As the liger let out a light growl to let Max know the job was done, the blue-haired wonder would smile. Of course, he probably would not have been smiling nor would he have stopped to work on the Liger's damaged spot had he known of Marcus's desire to leave the two behind and go off exploring by himself. The youth probably would do so the moment Max leaped out of the cockpit to go fix the Zoid. Not even considering such a thing, Max would set the ratchet back in the bag before beginning to climb up the Shield Liger's leg. After all, he couldn't waste too much time less he wanted to suffer through more of the guest's complaints. Besides that, perhaps he could find something to upgrade his Shield Liger with once Marcus found his Zoid. [/ul][/ul][/sup]

Marcus simply watched this cheery boy simply rant and rave about "ancient ruins" and "cool Zoids" being hidden somewhere. The sheer tenacity of this kid's optimism almost made him think about himself, to be honest: was this really how he acted towards others? Then again, he really wasn't one to complain; after all, he loved to help others out, even if he wasn't one to do team effort. The least he could do is lighten up.
"Sorry for whining. I can't stand hot climates; they make my organs burn to coals." he would apologetically explain, hoping that Max would have a tiny bit of sympathy for the ailing boy. Even if he had worn all-black, (in which he was at this point), Marcus wouldn't sweat profusely like he was now, but this jungle was just absolute torture! He was just about to go off into a random story when he had noticed Max had unstrapped himself and exited the cockpit; mumbling something about his Zoid having a loose joint or something. Chuckling to himself, he unstrapped himself as well and slightly leaned over. This I gotta see...
Lo and behold, he may have taken Max for granted. In a short span of five minutes, he had seemingly repaired a loose joint on his Shield Liger to near perfection; which made the mechanic grin lightly. He knows his stuff... Maybe I should get some advice from him later... Marcus would wonder before finally reverting to his original plan -- high-tailing it deeper into the ruins without Max knowing.
Chuckling evilly, he had shifted to the opposite side of the Zoid's cockpit and, with graceful expertise, flung himself outward as if he were jumping an Olympic hurdle; gracefully leaping down until he reached the hard, stone ground safely. Martial arts involving his legs had paid off once again as he now darted his gaze around. Max was nowhere to be seen in sight, which would only draw the assumption that he was climbing the Shield Liger.
Perfect.
With the stealthiness of a ninja, Marcus Takumi had slipped into the shadows, unnoticed by the blue haired boy, eager to go on yet another death-defying adventure. Sure, it was hotter than the blazes of Hell, but he was well prepared to go find a Zoid that would surely beat the crap out of his Shield Liger. Just you wait, Vee! I'mma get you a new body, and we're gonna be back on track! I promise! he silently whispered in his head, cracking a confident grin as he ran deeper and deeper into the ruins, expecting something truly awesome to just pop up out of nowhere.

[/b] cried Max in shock, the youth having finally made it to his Shield Liger's cockpit. The yell was a result of returning to an empty cockpit, something that was normally normal. However, in this situation, there was supposed to be a slightly older teen in the backseat. Max sighed, wondering how Marcus could just run off like that. With a light shrug, he would hop into his seat, closing the cockpit while checking the Shield Liger's systems. Everything had been set right, and now he would set the Shield Liger into motion. The disappearance of Marcus was indeed somewhat alamring, but Max figured he would be alright in the ruins. After all, he managed through many ruins during his childhood. "Hehe..." muttered Max deviously. The disappearance of Marcus gave Max another oppurtunity, for now the youth could run off to find any cool ancient parts. Perhaps he could even find a whole new Zoid like Marcus was planning on doing. Maybe one that far outclassed the Shield Liger, even. While one might think Max would find the ordeal heartbreaking to part with the Shield Liger, he had yet to develop the same bond he had with the Hounsoldier. Besides, he could just drag any Zoid he found to the team base and have the Shield Liger used as a base for a completely new Zoid. Max's eyes lit up, staring off into the distance as he daydreamed of such a zoid. Of course, the daydream would end once he ran into a wall. It was rather comical, to say the least, but it was enough to get him back on track, focusing on locating whatever he could. He just wished he gave the Shield Liger an advanced radar system. Perhaps he would add it as an upgrade later.[/ul][/ul][/sup]

<Approximately ten minutes into the ruins...>
"Eugh! What's that smell?" Marcus would question in disgust as he caught whiff of some ungodly stench that filled the air. That was the smell of ancient air, long since forgotten by the sands of time. Waving his hand around, trying to get himself situated with his current respiratory problem, he simply looked around the ancient ruins, staring at the many pictographs the walls had decked out on them.
Searching high and low, Marcus looked desperately for a Zoid that he could call his own -- and one that could officially take Max out in a fight. His mind was set ablaze with imagination; images of him within a cool Energy Liger, standing over the wrecked ruins of Max's Shield Liger, or him operating a Mad Thunder and going all guns-a-blazing. Or maybe he could get his mitts on a rare Geno Breaker and deck it out with a few Ion Cannons and a few missile launchers, unleashing devastating salvos of pure, fiery explosion-ey goodness.
"Hee-hee! Just you wait, Max! I'mma totally pay you back for trashin' Vee!" he would promise the boy he had run away from, searching the dusty, cobwebbed ruins eagerly in an effort to find a Zoid that could provide him with enough firepower to devastate the field. His left arm was slowly starting to ache less now, the swelling had gone away quite substantially after he had placed his arm within his button-up shirt as a makeshift sling.
Continuing to aimlessly roam around, he had simply watched several smaller Zoids scuttle around, trying to avoid being either stepped on or tripped over by the intruding Marcus. The boy had even been forced to dodge an oncoming barrage of laser blasts from a wild Molga at one point, though he had reacted with a swift kick to the side. As of now, nothing was stopping him from having a little fun here, and not even Max would prevent him from doing so.
That is, unless he finds something that could probably even take him out -- again. Shuddering at the thought, the ponytailed boy slapped himself three times with his right arm in punishment. "Get a grip, Marc! I'm sure that Vee's body wasn't built properly -- that's all! I'll find a new Zoid, it'll happen!" he cheered himself on as he roamed further and further down corridors and hallways, his mind set on something that not only he could be able to control with massive ease, but something he could take care of, call his own, and even pimp out like he did his old Rev Raptor.

<Sometime around the same time as Marc's time> [/b] groaned Max to himself, scanning the area as the Shield Liger paced through meticulously. It was a vast ruin, easily one of the grassiest he had ever seen. Max's eyes were lit like a little boy in a candy store, and that's how he normally was when he found new ruins as a kid. His lips would purse into a slight grin, the boy ecstatic about the oppurtunity. Then he found himself surrounded by masses of wild Zoids. They were molgas, so he wasn't frightened. And they seemed to just walk by him, so he didn't bother unloading a massive hellfire on the insect zoids. His eyes became starry as he imagined the cool things he could find in the ruins. Zoids, weapons, armor. Maybe even one of those legendary organoids his parents told him about on Farsa Island! His grin elevated into a cheesy smile, the youth so excited he could barely contain it. Well, that was until a bam came and shook his Zoid. No, he wasn't under attack or anything. He had walked into another wall. The Shield Liger would roar a bit, as if angry at its pilot for not keeping itself peeled after the first faceplant. After regaining his barings, Max would sigh. He couldn't let himself get distracted again. If he let the Shield Liger crash again, the liger would probably eject him from the cockpit. Max's eyes went from glossy to focused, now intent on finding his coveted weapons. "Sorry bud. Let's find somethin' real nice." apologized Max, a slight smirk on his face. This would be a sinch, with no rampaging wild Zoids to hold him up. It was just a matter of navigating through the mazelike ruins. A sense of excitement welled within, though. Not knowing what lied around the corner made him a bit antsy. [/ul][/ul][/sup]

<Approximately five minutes later...>
He had seemingly walked in circles now, having no GPS system or some form of holo-map of any kind to guide him through the unfamiliar landscapes. Wiping away profuse amounts of sweat, he had tried his hardest to find at least one Zoid he could call his own; one he could be proud to shout out was Vee's new body. Scratching the back of his head, he had leaned against a stone pillar fragment, sighing depressingly. "It's like searching my room for needles!" he would comment his old living quarters, before leaning slightly backwards.
Unknowingly, he had pressed down a secret lever that had been once used by the ancient peoples, causing the ground underneath him to collapse -- a trap door! He had yelped out Max's name in total shock and dismay before the doors had shut themselves instantly; preventing any sound from escaping. Help wouldn't come his way now...
____
"Nghhh... What the hell?" Marcus moaned, rubbing at his head as soon as he gained leeway on where he was. Looking up, he noticed a large shaft cut into the ceiling and going straight up. Noticing no light emanating from the top, he could only assume that he was in some form of death chamber of sorts, and some impossibly conceived trap would spring; forcing the boy to fight for his life until help arrived. He would utilize this time to explore his new surroundings, brushing himself free of any dust or bugs that clung to him.
"Yikes... Check it out..." he muttered, slowly making his way towards what looked like a large, empty space. He had taken one step forward before he had felt his foot sink into the ground. Oh no, a poison dart trap! Instinctively, he hit the ground with the full of his body, hoping to hear the whizzing of small projectiles zooming overhead. Silence. Slightly disappointed, he tapped his finger on the stone ground before he had noticed a small flame flicker on. Did he activate a light of sorts?
Moving towards the tiny lamp that now lay alight, he noticed a smaller button underneath. Dare he push it? Pondering the possible side effects, he simply shrugged, wondering what the worst thing that could possibly happen would be. Pressing the button with the full of his thumb, he watched as a tiny panel next to the flame dropped, causing the fire to literally travel down a pathway which the ponytailed boy mesmerizingly followed with his eyes. Watching the flames eventually split in two different directions, he continued to peer outward, and eventually upward, as the entire room lit up with the glow of warm, orange light.
The place he had discovered appeared to be an ancient Zoid hangar of sorts; long since abandoned by whomever ran the joint. Brushing his thumb underneath his nose, he chuckled in victory of his discovery. Simply walking down until he reached the flat surface of where Zoids looked like they would rest after battle, he had scanned his vision left, then right, searching not only for a way out, but for a Zoid itself. Marcus was about to kick a rock in defeat when he had finally caught glimpse of a large mass of metal, standing upright in an animalistic manner, its frame looking very much like that of a traditional Liger model Zoid, albeit heavily rusted and decolored due to years of reckless abandonment. This was a Zoid, alright, and by the looks of it; it seemed to have been out of commission for several years, if not, possibly decades.
"Jackpot!"

<What He Said> [/b] groaned Max, eyes opening after the fall he had suffered from within his Zoid. After Max struggled with the controls for a few moments, the Shield Liger would finally stand to its feet. Shaking a bit, like a cat would if t wanted to dry off or brush of some feeling, the liger would roar. Of course, Max was glad he couldn't be blamed for this incident. The initial crashes were because he wasn't focused, but this was sheer chance that the Zoid managed to step on a hidden pannel and activate a trap door. Another sigh would leave the youth, wondering why he had the bad luck. His eyes would bound from one corner of the room to the other, seeing vast darkness. It was moments like these in which he wished the Shield Liger had more conventional equipment, such as headlights. He would make the Liger proceed with caution a couple of steps, weapons ready to discharge. "Woah, look at that!" called out Max, after lights had spontaneously flashed on in the dark area. It was odd for such ancient ruins to still have power. At any rate, the youth would stare at the grand piece before it. It was a... a... sword? It was actually a Zoid size sword! It was hanging from an ancient crane of sorts, the blade attached to an open ring. "Woah..." muttered Max to himself, wondering what the menacing structure meant.[/ul][/ul][/sup]

"...What the crap?"What he had seen was a Zoid, alright, but albeit... lacking. The Zoid was a Liger model, too, however, the mechanic had taken massive notice to its complete lack of weapons and armor whatsoever! Though impressive in size, a stunning 8.3 meters, (to Marcus, anyway), it was rather bare for a battle-quality Zoid. Only two words could come to mind as soon as the boy facepalmed himself: chop shop. Somebody or something must have either taken the weapons and armor, or it had fell into such disrepair that they had practically fallen off or disintegrated; which is highly unlikely for metallic parts, but hey -- one can imagine. "Euh... Not the best find ever, but it works..." Marcus shrugged without a care in the world, knowing that despite the fact that he had found an ancient Zoid that had completed his intended mission. Cracking his neck and knuckles, he slowly climbed the fragile joints of the ancient Liger Zoid, being careful about where he had stepped as he inspected each and every nook and cranny carefully. "Yeesh. Did this thing have a super beam gun or something?" he questioned in curious awe as soon as he saw several grooves on the frame, suspecting that this Zoid had once held a weapon of terrible power at one point. Stroking his right pocket where Vee's memory bank lay, he smiled a weak, yet assured, grin. He had finally made his way towards the cockpit, in which had been caked over with rust and vines, as Marcus pulled the shrubbery away from it to reveal crimson eyes. Whistling in impression, he had creaked his fingers into the grooves where the door rested and forced up the blue panel with all his might, revealing the controls within. They looked as if they had been spared the torture of time or vandalism, all to Marcus's delight. Hopping into the leather seat that was obviously chewed away by whatever managed to crawl in there, he looked around the dark, flame-lit room, shooting occasional glances towards the control panels. They were obviously different to Marcus, foreign in retrospect to the former Rev Raptor he had owned, but the throttle positions, even the grips, were almost identical to what he had originally owned. Slowly slipping each, individual finger into their respective loops on the grips, he sighed in relief. He had found Vee a new body -- though he'd have to get some work done on it if he was to get it up and running for a battle. Slumping back into the worn, leather seat, he sighed as he looked upward at the ceiling, contemplating what he should do next; as well as how the hell he should get out.

[/b] muttered Max to himself, still in a state of somewhat amazement. The thing looked amazing and Max knew one thing, and that was that he needed to get it on his Shield Liger. After all, how could he let such an oppurtunity pass? But first, the youth needed to observe the mysterious part. Making the Shield Liger creep towards it, he would keep his eyes planted on the strange tool. Once close enough, the Shield Liger would creep around it. Max wanted to get a full view of the item, hoping to figure it out with such a glance. "I see..." muttered Max to himself, having figured the basic operation of the blade. The ring it was attached to let the blade go in a circular arc around the body it was equipped to. But it didn't look like it could pull a full three-sixty, perhaps just a three hundred. From one of those angles, the blade could then move ninety degrees out to the side or front. In Max's conclusion, that was one beasting blade. While it didn't look as powerful as a Blade Liger's blades, it still bested them in flexibility. A wide grin spread upon the youth's face, almost drooling as he imagined his Shield Liger's performance with that kick ass blade equipped. Then he wondered, looking around the area. "So this is an ancient Zoid hangar, huh? Perhaps even a factory..." muttered Max to himself. Then he had a brilliant idea. Perhaps he could utilize the room. Making the Shield Liger creep forward onto a platform beneathe the blade, Max would pop open the cockpit glass and hop out. As he did, he looked on in slight wonder how the blade looked as if it were made just for the Liger. Jumping down, the youth would zoom on the other side of the wall to see just what he expected. A control panel, and he knew it had to be for the crane. But it was ancient technology. How would he activate it? [/ul][/ul][/sup]

About two minutes had passed before Marcus had finally decided to see if he could start this bad boy of a Zoid up. Dusting off the controls, he had searched frantically for the memory bank console, where he would insert the card from his Rev Raptor in. Popping the panel open, he noticed another console was already present within. Pulling it out with a bit of additional effort, he realized that the previous owner had apparently short circuited the original console, thus rendering the Zoid incapable of combat, let alone, normal function.
Tossing aside the fried card and out of the cockpit, Marcus heard a plastic sounding clatter shoot up from the floor, knowing it had indeed shattered. Pulling out Vee's console, he inserted it into the appropriate slot and awaited further details to ensue. Nothing. Thinking about what could have been wrong, he pondered before slapping himself playfully on the forehead. Of course; he forgot to start the ignition! "Duh! What just happened there?" he would mock himself jokingly before searching the console for the start button.
Small problem -- there was none.
Raising an eyebrow, he had blindly started to feel his way across the dash, trying to find some form of starting apparatus before he had reached a bubble-like object. Contorting his hand to feel how smooth and round it was, he had unconsciously pressed it inward before it suddenly burst forth a sapphire light, Marcus's sight being temporarily disturbed by the flash. Horrible, metal creaks and groans could be heard now as power had somehow miraculously sprung back into the joints and crannies of the Liger skeleton, signalling that it was still, to say the least, functional.
"Aww yeah, baby! Welcome back, Vee!" Marcus shouted as loud as he could before the groaning silenced itself; the Zoid now fully operational. Power surged within the strangely designed control panel as the sapphire blue cockpit door swung itself shut, the ruby red eyes of the Liger shooting a flash of light; fully aware of its consciousness. It seemed to crank its rusted neck slowly, yet fully, around its environment as if it had been awakened from a long slumber, considering it really had been. Marcus now folded his arms, pondering just how he was going to be able to get out of the ruins now. "Problem is... You don't have any armor or weapons, save for those claws and fangs... Cripes, maybe I should have thought this over." he silently whispered, searching for any sign of a communications device.
Finding exactly what he was hoping for, he flipped on the device, only to be greeted with a shower of sparks and static. "Dammit, it's busted. So much for telling Max..." he groaned, taking a deep breath as he got himself situated with the controls of his new Zoid. The memory of Vee slowly began to adjust and situate itself with his new body, converting its processes to think along the lines of Liger now, instead of Velociraptor. Perhaps learning about piloting wouldn't be so bad, given Marcus' steady rate of good luck now...
"Don't worry, buddy. I'mma get us outta here."

[/b] almost cursed Max, his voice drowned out by the sound of the sword's ring crashing onto the liger. It had kicked up quite a bit of dust, leaving Max without sight of his Zoid. The blue haired youth would run towards his precious Zoid to see if it were alright. As he looked at it, the smoke had cleared and on its back was the blade, almost perfectly fit. Max couldn't help but look on in awe. What were the odds of not only finding a weapon of that make, but one that fit the Zoid perfectly with no adjustments. Either way, with a wide grin on his face, Max would scale his Zoid and hop into the cockpit, sitting back and engaging the system. "Murasame Blade...?" muttered Max to himself in amazement, for the image on the Liger's weapon list was exactly that of the blade. It bonded simply from attaching to the Zoid? How was such ancient technology so advanced? Whatever the reason, it only meant one thing to Max. His Zoid was a step closer to a Blade Liger. [/ul][/ul][/sup]

Scanning his sight all over the giant hangar bay, Marcus had found no form of exit whatsoever amongst the stone and rusted walls. Scratching his head in sheepish behaviour, he wondered lazily if he really was going to die down here, due to lack of oxygen, or rather, heat stroke. "Tch! And I thought getting crispyfied in my Rev Raptor was bad!" he joked rather horribly, the weak, metal groans emanating from the Liger skeleton instigating the fact that it was unamused by Marcus's attempts at humor. He instantly took this creaking to heart, knowing that it was really Vee whom had responded.
Looking up at the static-ridden, holographic images that had now begun to spring up to life on the Zoid's visor's inside, he noticed that it had sprouted forth a language he could instantly recognize as the language Max had occasionally spouted out:
Bufan Luna Yldeja. Cocdasc Vimmo Ubanydeuhym.
Mekan Wanu: Uh Cdyhtpo...
Being knowledged in this form of dialect, thanks to his constant roaming of Romeo City and his meeting of several people whom had spoken it, he was able to instantly translate it perfectly, reading it as:
Power Core Active. Systems Operational.
Liger Zero: On Standby...
"Liger Zero? Psssh! Hate to tell you, Vee, but as wicked as that name is, this new body's junk." he muttered, receiving an unamused growl from Vee. Flipping a few switches, he had attempted to gain a status report of his Zoid's current condition. It showed an overall heads-up display of the Liger Zero's current status; which was posted in that same language he had been greeted with:
Ymm Cocdasc Eh Lnedelym Tecnabyen cehla mycd yldejydeuh.
Bufan Luna: 18% Ahanko Nasyehehk.
Syehdahyhla tnycdelymmo naxienat.
"Yikes, it's that bad?" the boy would whisper, stroking an invisible chin. From what he could directly translate, the Zoid itself wasn't active for quite sometime, and due to the high disrepair it had suffered, the energy core was only at a grim eighteen percent of its normal power. Just great: a fritzed energy core, a rusted body that hasn't been taken care of for decades. no armor, and no weapons?
Perfect.
This was the challenge Marc needed for quite sometime, to be honest. He was a mechanic by nature, born and raised; in the workshop was where he spent most of his days. He practically saw this as a direct opportunity to put his master skills to the test, viewing it as one of the greatest challenges he had been faced with as a worker in his profession. "A'ight, let's get crackin', buddy. But first... Since you're in a new body, I should give you a new name." Marcus would mutter, before thinking as hard as he could in an attempt to rename his partner.
Snapping his fingers, he had instantly thought up of a name that was not only simple, but rather symbolic, given Vee's current position. "Alright, Ex-Vee, let's rock this joint!" he would shout out in triumph, raising his fist as high as he was allowed to, the rusted, and naked, Liger Zero letting out a loud and proud roar with all of the strength it had; hoping that all would hear of his recent revival. Molgas and Atak Cats scrambled away from the scene in fear of the massive Zoid's awakening, much to the twisted delight of Marcus Takumi, whom gripped the throttles with both hands, regardless of the pain in his left one. Even if there were walls separating him from Max, wherever he was, he was sure to get the message very soon -- that Marcus had returned to the fray!
"This party's gett'n' crazy!"
"Let's rock!"

[/b] yelled Max, moving his hand over to controls for secondary equipment, pressing the button and seeing the blasts travel ahead, impacting the wall. Dust would kick up, Max's eyes glancing in anticipation to see what kind of power it held. But he was faced with a big dissappointment. The cannon's impact barely damaged the wall, weaker than the liger's shock cannon. Then Max had an idea, hands quickly going to work on the panel of his Shield Liger, rerouting the power from the shock cannon to the dual cannon on the murasame blade. Another tap would initiate another blast from the dual cannons, this time shattering the wall before them. "Alright, let's roll!" cheerfully jeered Max, even though he had to sacrifice the Shield Liger's shock cannon. However, the dual cannon was actually somewhat stronger than the shock cannon. He would proceed through the opening, hearing the roar of another Zoid echo through the ruins. "Heh, alright." muttered Max to himself, a smirk shifting onto his face. He could tell that it was probably Marcus having discovered his own Zoid. His Shield Liger would proceed into a sprint, Max keeping the sensors peeled in case he spotted Marcus. Perhaps now they could leave this place. [/ul][/ul][/sup]
