Message to the zoid warriors participating in operation “Backdraft Trap”
I’m glad to see that you have all decided to take on this risky mission. We wish you luck on your mission to eliminate the section of Backdraft that’s been interfering with our Zoid Battles as of late. The Battle will be taking place in the Desert Wastelands on an open field with only a rocky plateau to show any change in the field near the edge of the field. When you arrive head to the center of the field near the judge capsule and wait for Backdraft to interfere. Good luck pilots, you’ll need it.
Zoids Battle Commission
The desert was calm and desolate. The sky blue and clear, and almost no wind to kick dust up into the air. A flat field of sand and only a large plateau showed any change in elevation. The perfect place and time for a zoid’s match. Suddenly the sound of roaring flames was heard as the Judge Capsule descended and landed in the middle of the battlefield. It was time to begin the trap that would lure the Backdraft Group’s forces and allow them to weaken their ability to cause trouble.
The judge began speaking as soon as it’s pod opened. ”The area within a 30 mile radius is a designated Zoid Battlefield. This zone is now restricted. Only competitors and personnel have authorized entry. Danger, all others must leave the area at once. This Zone is now restricted. Danger!” As it did this the judge capsule turned allowing the judge to scan the area for anyone in the area as well as transmit his warning to anyone who it could not see. As it finished scanning it stopped as the gustavs carrying the zoids arrived.

Aegis was the first to unload from the Gustav carrying his team. Azler was gripping her controls tighter than normal, his eyes filled with determination as the Shield Liger walked towards the center of the field, awaiting the others to unload.
This would be his first fight against the Backdraft Group, the organization that had killed his fiancé with their fiendish methods. He despised them, hated them, and was determined to bring them to justice.
His mind thought to the Fury that had been the murderer and wondered if it would be a part of the group that fell for their ploy, if he would get to avenge Michina…For a moment, he wondered if justice would be enough, but shook his head and cleared his mind, focusing on the upcoming trial…

The desert as usual expressed absolute dominance over the foundation of warmth as rippling waves of searing oblige scrambled throughout the opening demonstrating the adverse effects of tremendously hot climate engrossed regions. Within the distance, an approaching matrimony consumed a small portion of the horizons area as the scorching waves completely distorted the illustration. Those closest the Judge capsule would be completely oblivious to the depiction which was the approaching image. However this forthcoming visualization was that of Calvary.
Within the distance, the sounds of opposing forces clamping against the ground showered as a approaching Saber-Lion made its way towards the central region. Piloting the swift moving Zoid was a young male who went by the name of Ikazuchi Ryûsuke; an up-and-coming Zoid combatant who had previously accepted entry into a ranking mission entitled the “Backdraft Trap”. Ordered to reach the marked location were he would meet with a prodigious group of fellow Zoid pilots, the dark haired boy would soon be taking part in what could be considered a Suicide assignment. However this thought didn’t faze Ryûsuke as he tighten the clench on his handles, thrusting them forward as the Saber-lion increased its alacrity, approaching the Judge capsule with every step.
Within only a few meters of his designated location, Ryûsuke would take soon activate his transmission connecter as he noticed from the far corner of his eye, a stationed Shield Liger. This was the location, but the question would be, was this his aid or opponent; with the activation of his communication monitor, hopefully the two could converse and hopefully the awkward question could be answered as the considerable Saber-lion finally came to a halting impede and as it did so a large obscure of sand and grime compiled within the air, only to disperse moments later.

A desert. A land where rock had been beaten and ground into a fine dust by time, wind and maybe even water. It definitely looked like a desert wasteland and felt that way too as Nat and his Command Wolf, Ichimonji, dashed quickly through the open land every step bringing them closer to the judge capsule and their first mission. Nat sat back lazily in the cockpit of his navy blue zoid as it ran through the land with ease as he did nothing but push the small pedal beneath his foot down. His lazy personality ensured the zoid would be easily operated and pushing a pedal was easy. His white hair fell into his face and as he pushed it aside he noticed a large rock formation a head of him and jumped up turning in time to evade it.
"Dang...i need to pay more attention. I'm sorry if i scared you buddy." He whispered to his Zoid as he held the controls tightly and sped up even more until two zoids and a judge capsule came into view. Excitement filled every part of Nat's body and the adrenaline made him feel great as he slid to a stop with his Zoid turned sideways kicking up a load of dust but not enough to cover more than it's knee level. "I;m going to have to clean you later won't i buddy" He asked his Zoid as began to lay back in his seat. Turning on his communication Nat smiled widely and then spoke again "Call name, Ratchet reporting for duty!!....So how are you guys?"

The day was warm, the sand below creating an uprising current of heated air that made flying easier. The pilot was calming down, as he looked at the gathering group. It looked like so far all that was there, besides himself, were land bound. He sighed, this would be hard, he'd have to miss shots intentionally. He knew that this was a mock battle, one meant to drag out the backdraft and to lead them to defeat. His feelings about this mission, was that Sammy and himself would have to keep busy till the real opponents arrived. "Sammy, I'm just going to circle till the battle starts" He called over the radio, seeing the tomboy pilot. He then closed the channel for the moment, as he started circling.
The ground seemed to be mainly desert sand, gravel and rocks. The lack of wind made it seem like there wouldn't be much of a speed advantage for his eagle, but the lack of cover made it hard for the other side to take advantage of . He took note of the area's around the battle site, where the Backdraft may be coming from. He smirked, as he opened up a com link to the mock team they were facing. "This is Tionus, I hope you don't mind, but I'll have to say, I think you guys are going to be out matched a bit, no cover, no aerial zoids on your side, I think we have this one won." He taunted falsely, you don't know if they backdraft could intersect such things. He then took note of his weapons, and storage. He knew he could last it. He locked in his registry.
"Tionus Kirin, pilot of the Buster Eagle, and warrior." He stated to himself, studying the opponents team so far. A Shield liger and a Saber Lion. On their side, was Sammy in her Shield Liger, and a Command Wolf, as well as his Eagle. He really hoped that the wolf was skilled enough to fake it, and make it look real. He started circuling, as he waited for the last person to show up, and for sammy to prepare.

"You got it, Tio!" Sammy called back, resting in the back of her cockpit. She had the seat leaned back as far as it could go, while propping her feet up on the console in front of her. The gustav the ZBC had supplied was doing a great job of transporting her and her cat to the battlefied, so she didn't have to worry about piloting for a bit. The remnants of a large fast-food meal could be seen in a little basin on the side of her cockpit, that she used for trash. Sammy smirked, pulling her hat up a bit. Full stomach, beautiful day, and the right time of the month for her. It was all looking good.
As the Gustav started to reach the battlezone, she decided to get ready to go. Pulling her legs down, she slipped them back down beneath the dashboard in front of her. Her chair tilted up and slid forwards, putting her back within reach of the controls. Taking time to strap herself into the chair once more, she also fired up the zoid system controls, checking all the instruments one at a time as they came on. By the time she finished, the Gustav had reached the edge of the battlefield line. As it ground to a halt, her Shield Liger let out a deep roar, before clambering down off of the trailer and into the field.
Sammy re-adjusted her hat to shadow her eyes again, smirking. A few quick button flips brought her up on the video monitor with her allies "opponents," her confident face appearing on each of their screens. "It's a good day for battle, boys!" she called out, flashing a grin. "Time to bring out the big guns and get this thing started. We good to go yet?" The shield liger stood on her side of the field, crouching down a bit. The flaps on its mane opened up, and the missile launchers and dual beam cannon all slid out of their holsters, the liger bristling and eager to get going.

Tyro would not make an attempt to relax as the Gustav made it's way to the battlefield. He would go through numerous checks in his cockpit, making sure his Gatling gun had adequate bullets, that his missiles were primed and ready, and that his mobility was fully functional.
He had accepted this mission as a mercenary. Normally he wouldn't do such a thing because he was a more solo fighter, but this gave him an ample opportunity for open combat, and he would always accept that. The mission told him that he would first participate in a mock battle until a specific rouge group would arrive and his opponents would become allies to fight against the rouges.
As the Gustav would enter the desert area, Tyro would make his final preparations by turning on his radar, and communicator. He would not speak into the device for his teammates conversation, but he would respond to any speech. The radar would show several other people as they arrived towards the fight. If the Zoids ahead of him were deployed, Tyro's Dark Horn would deploy as well and he would prepare for a fight.

Once it noted that all the participants had arrived, the judge sent a message telling all the zoids the identities of the pilots they were working with on both sides since the ZBC hadn't had a chance to do this before. After sending the message, with all the competitors out and ready to begin the judge finished its speech, unaware of an imposing Black Whale King approaching the battlefield. “Area scanned… Battlefield set-up! The Stinger Team vs. the Barigator Team! Battle Mode 0982! Ready?...” As it prepared to start the match, its arms outstretched, the judge was suddenly stopped as it was crushed by a black judge capsule.
Imposing music wouldn’t have been inappropriate as the black capsule rose from the ruins of the ZBC judge capsule and opened to reveal a black judge unit with a slightly different headpiece. It suddenly began speaking in a mocking and condescending voice, ”This battle has been taken over by the Backdraft Group! We hereby challenge the…” the judge trailed off as it got a good look at the teams of zoid warriors. ”HEY! You’re not the Stinger and Barigator Teams!? What gives!?”
Above the battlefield the Backdraft captain in the whale king spoke up. ”It looks like the ZBC finally caught on to how we were finding out about their zoid matches. Still, I don’t see much of a threat given the zoids they’ve brought. We’ll crush them anyways. Get on with the battle!” As the commander said this, the Whale King set down between the center of the field and the rocky plateau.
The dark judge promptly obeyed the Backdraft captain and continued its condescending tirade. ”I suppose you’re right. No need to worry about such a stupid group!” The dark judge then leaned over as it stated almost disinterestedly, ”The… unimportant, sure to die… no chance of winning teams over there… As it trailed off there it suddenly straightened up and said in a happy imperious tone, Versus the infamous Backdraft Group’s Dibison and Elephander Teams!”
As the judge said this last line the jaws of the whale King opened revealing 3 Dibison and 3 Elephander Zoids. The large zoids lumbered out loudly challenging their opponents. The Elephanders set up about 50 Zoid Lengths (1 km) away from the 6 trap zoids, leaving about half the width of an Elephander between them. The Dibison then took up position behind them. The whale king then took off, heading back into the air as the Dark Judge finished up. ”Scared? Too bad! Battle Mode 0999! READY!? FIGHT!!!”
Before the dark judge even said “ready”, the 6 Backdraft zoids began firing. The 3 Dibisons launched large volleys of glowing shots from their huge assault cannons on their back at the mass of enemy zoids, Dibison A targeting Azler, Dibison B targeting Sammy, and Dibison C targeting Tyro. The Elephanders in front fired their trunk mounted beam cannons in front of them to keep enemy zoids back, as well as firing their back mounted pulse laser cannons. Elephander A targeting Kirin, Elephander B targeting Ryusuke, and Elephander C targeting Firo.

Sammy > Shield Liger > Rank C Kirin > Buster Eagle > Rank C Firo > Command Wolf > Rank C Azler > Shield Liger > Rank C Tyro > Dark Horn > Rank C Ryu > Saber Lion > Rank D Azler pulled up data on each of the Zoid allies that would be standing at his side and read through them, data flying on screen as he read it quickly, analyzing capabilities and figuring out the best way to utilize them. Hooking up his phone to the computer of his Zoid and pressing a few keyboard buttons, a program began running that ignored the noise coming from its own systems and focused entirely on the sound of his voice. Hitting the play button on his phone, a soft tune began playing, yet Wilder knew that soon it would become as ferocious as the battle… Holy Orders: Be Just or Be DeadWilder’s gaze turned to the Backdraft Group as they arrived and flicked his eyes to the six heavy Zoids unloading from the Whale. Thinking quickly, he turned on his communications. ”This is Azler Wilder, pilot of the blue, white, and purple Shield Liger, as you’ve all surely read by now. This is directed to the Dark Horn, get behind the Black Judge as soon as you can and use him as a cover, you’re too slow to avoid their fire and if they concentrate on you, we’re screwed. I’ll try to use my Shield to protect you, I request that Sammy does the same. Kirin, Firo, and Ryu, please try to draw the fire of the Zoids that are focusing on us three, your speeds should allow you to dodge almost anything they throw at you if you don‘t do anything too rash. Once the Horn is safe, us shields shall come aid you in an assault.” Stated Azler calmly, speaking over the Black Judge and his Master, utilizing the time they were almost freely offering up. ”If one or none of you wish to follow this, then all I ask is stay out of the way of those who do, especially me…”Roaring loudly as the half dozen Zoids unleashed their assault, the vibrant energy shield quickly enveloped Aegis as she jumped out of the way of the fire, attempting to move to the Dark Horn and intercept the Elephander’s blasts, intending to use the front of the shield to hopefully deflect most of the attack away.

Combat Theme: O2
I will Create a new world, the question is will it include you?
-Ryûsuke
Finally the time had come, all the participating Zoids who would act as insurgence against the Backdraft incursion had arrived at the designated area. As the other four zoids can into perceptive, Ryûsuke would progressively shift the direction of his purple eyes onto the monitor as a series of transmitted statistics and universal data began to enlist principle details which were directed to those acting in the mission. Shifting from left to right, Ryûsuke would efficiently take in the information to the slightly detailing, engraving it into his mind. Though serving, a simple visual scan which was granted threw the visor partition virtually gave Ryûsuke all the information he would need on his fellow combatants.
Waiting until his assistance was needed, a rather strident outburst occurred and now fixing his attention onto the position of the ZMC judge capsule, a more baleful, and silhouette capsule laid in its wake. Scanning over the newly emerged capsule, Ryûsuke noticed threw the use of hearing that this rather maddening device who spoke in a galling, irrupting tone of how the notorious Backdraft gang, and how they were here; finally. Utilizing the numerous control functions and buttons which resided in the cockpit, the Saber-lion shifted its weight as its golden visor locked onto the location of an approaching Whale King and with the rather candid suggestion from the black capsule; it was now quite obvious that this was the Back-Draft gang.
“So now it begins.”
Exclaimed Ryûsuke as he rested calmly within the comfort of his Pilot seat, and with that the intercom transmission activated as one of his allies began to articulate his message. From the details and context clues which resided in the mission transmitted from Azler, it was clear that Ryûsuke and his Saber-lion would act as a diversion to trail the attention of the Back-Draft gang away from the Dark Horn and the other protective zoids. Quite strategic to say the least, Ryûsuke’s Saber-Lion was arguably one of the fastest zoids on the battlefield from a range in which the two teams were alienated by; equivocation of incoming projectiles was of the outmost ease.
“Though I’m not use to being a Pawn, I can’t deny the effectiveness of your tactics.”
And with that last commentary which was not only directed to Azler, but the remaining four zoids, the teal Saber-lion ruptured towards the side (right) as Ryûsuke would attempt and draw the attention of the distant Elephanders and Dibisons. From the obvious remoteness, it would quite palpable that if Ryûsuke moved in a straight sample that he would be targeted as a diversion and thus possibly foiling Azler’s plan. However this wouldn’t be the case as the mighty Lion zoid lowered itself to the ground as it continued to run, hurdling and shifting slightly to evade the incoming attack as Ryûsuke gradually shorten the distance between himself and the Backdraft.
Not getting in a close enough range, Ryûsuke planned his tactical evasion well enough that the diversion tactic wouldn’t be instantly depicted as obvious and allowing enough flexibility for his fellow speed based Zoids to catch and possibly do the same, but in a opposite direction. Still in his ranged, spherical pattern, Ryûsuke kept a close eye on his monitors as he scanned the sites of both his partner’s positions, and those of the Elephanders and the Dibisons, and most importantly the King Whale.; though a Pawn for now, Ryûsuke would soon become the player as he continued on following Azler’s plan, but also formulating those of his own.

Placing his hands firmly on his controls Nat sat up sraight and looked around the field a while to see anything that could be used as an advantage. Nothing came to mind but out running them, Close range may be bad if he couldn't move away fast enough. He decided that he would support and just assist the others and try to sneak in while they were distracted. Keeping his zoid safe isn't to important when the others were better than his.
"Sorry buddy you may take a little damage." He whispered to his Zoid as he slowly walked closer to the group and his zoid leaned back into a ready position and growled once loudly while it pushed its claws into the ground ready to move at a moments notice. Nat looked around and calmly asked "Are you ready?" to his fellow teamates as he held his postion and prepared for anything coming his way. Slowly calculations went through his head as he looked up information on the type of Zoids his team and figured ways to help them out while he awaited someone to make the first move. As he saw the saber lion dash towards the hulking zoids Nat almost immeadiately hit the pedal and threw his zoid forward darting left and right avoiding the oncoming lasers.
Approaching the giant Zoids Nat a pair of crosshairs appeared on his screen and as he squinted slightly they locked on. The crosshairs seemed to hover on his face well while the screen began to flash and Ichimonji fired it's rifles a few times towards the opposing team. Nat quickly looked over and tilted the controls as he came further from the saber lion and reached the other end stopping his movements only to fire a shot or two before jumping back into his rush. The Command wolf might not be as light as the Saber Lion but it could move as effectively as it jumped around like a wolf from its mountain cave in a zig zag fashion avoiding fire. "Flanking such big beasts...shouldn't be too hard." He thought to himself as he continued his movements awaiting for an opening to strike back at full force.

Tionus watched the whole situation. He watched as the judge had prepared to start the match, and then watched as the situation changed drastically. Suddenly a black judge capsule had appeared, and spoke with malice intent about their group. It was funny though, when he realized they were not the teams that he had been expecting. He then watched them set up. The whale king dropping off three Elephanders, and three Dibison. It was apparent that they were destroying the teams with ballistic attacks.
As soon as he saw the shots fired, he flew up and dropped his smoke screen over in the air to try to confuse the Elephander's targeting. He then flew down towards the ground, dropping more smoke, while dodging missiles, before starting his own attack, shooting his own missiles and firing the buster cannon at the elephander line, before flying back up into the sky. He was leaving a cloud of smoke around on the ground to try to hide the groups attempt to get close, while also hiding where his own attacks where coming from, before flying up and leaving more. It was obvious that this strategy of his own was merely there to cover and help the current strategy. He hoped this would help the speedy unit attack first with out problems.

Sammy grinned, gripping the controls tighter as the Backdraft group started to appear, finally. She smirked, licking her lips and pulling her hat around backwards, so it wouldn't cover her field of vision. Staring at the whale king approach, she pulled her zoid back up and retracted all the weapons. There was no need to fake a battle anymore, a real one was about to start. She got down and prepared to sprint at the zoids, when the comm light flared up before her again and a voice piquied in.
<< ... I'll try to use my Shield to protect you, I request that Sammy does the same ... >
Laughing, she turned her zoid to the side, facing towards the Dark Horn as she pulled off into a quick trot. << I was just going to run up and blast 'em like usual, but a little strategy never hurt anyone. I've got you covered, Gatling, we need your firepower intact to win this. >> While she was running, she pulled the small dual beam gun out of its covering on the Liger's back, turning it to fire in the general direction of the six long-range zoids. Sure, that gun wasn't going to hit and do any serious damage with that range, but it was an energy weapon so she could afford to waste ammo. The bullets landed in a scatter a few clicks in front of the zoids, adding clouds of dust and rubble to Kirin's smokescreen.
By this time, the rounds fired were just about on the little group. Sammy's hand reached for the liger's main control, pulling it back and twisting it to the side. The mane flared out, a brilliant sparkiing shield forming over the front half of her zoid. The blast aimed for her hit dead on, depleting about half her shields. She sprinted faster to try and intercept the one heading for the Dark Horn, before Azler could get to it either. << Azler, let me take this shot. My shields will go down, but then yours will cover while I recharge. If we take turns like that, it'll create a defense with no holes. >>

Tyro's screens and monitors brought up information on each of his allies as he deployed his Dark Horn. Almost immediately, Backdraft arrived after hearing their phony aliases. "All according to plan" he mumbled, just as the Backdraft deployed their Zoid teams. Elephanders and Dibisons. This was a problem.
Just then Tyro received an incoming transmission in his cockpit. Listening to himself specifically, he would begin to move as the Dibison targeting him shot off a wallop of blasts. Tyro reacted quickly while the shots blazed toward him. He began inching his Zoid to the right and forward, where the judge capsule would provide cover. The shots were taken by his partners energy shield, gratefully, but more shots would surely arrive. Quickly he turned his main weapon system towards the Dibison while moving towards the capsule, and began a steady burst of gatling gun fire. The targets were long ranged, especially at such a distance, but firing in a small spread, Tyro was sure a good many shots would hit.

The Backdraft were disappointed that their first barrage hadn't caused as much damage as they'd hoped to the enemy zoids, but didn't let it affect them. Out in front, the Elephanders ceased their firing in order to activate their shields and intercept the incoming fire. The attacks launched by the ZBC zoids were nowhere near enough to overwhelm their shields and left both the Elephander and the Dibison behind them uninjured. After blocking their barrage of fire the Elephanders themselves continued to use their own ranged weapons, hoping to crush the opposition that dared stand up to them. Elephander A firing towards the Saberlion that would have difficulty dodging the rapidly firing pulse laser cannon on its back. Elephander B targeted the running Dark Horn, firing directly in front of it in order to cut its advance towards the judge capsule. Elephander C fired its rapidly firing pulse laser into the sky targeting the Buster Eagle, wanting to restrict the Airborne zoid's movements.
In the rear, the three Dibison continued firing their massive cannons and unleashed another barrage of fire. From each of their sides, they opened up their missile pods and added a rain of missiles to their attack, ready to crush the opposition through overwhelming force, 8 of the 24 launched missiles flying up and locking onto the Buster Eagle. Dibison A's massive assault apart from the 3 missiles that had sought out the flying zoid targeted the Dark Horn that the shield ligers were attempting to guard. Dibison B instead targeted Firo in the command wolf who hadn't moved during the initial assault and would most likely be damaged already by the Elephander fire it had taken while standing still. Dibison C also targeted the Dark Horn wanting to overwhelm the shield ligers through sheer force and wipe the only heavy weapons zoid they had from the battle.
