The Energy Tiger stood, surveying his surroundings. The zoid sat in the middle of a canyon, stone walls on both sides, only about enough room for two Zaber Fangs, or two of the Prototype zoid at their widest point. While the walls didn't go up at a 90 degree angle, they curved in to form a sort of tunnel with an opening along the top about as wide as a Shield Liger. Every now and again, there was also a point where the stone face was nearly straight up and down, acting as a perfect launching point to attack flying zoids.
There was absolutly no cover for zoids to use to avoid attacks with the exeption of the overhangs on the canyon's thinner points. If anyone should try and attack from the air, those over hangs could be used to frustrate them. Meanwhile, the Energy Tiger's speed could only be matched by the Energy Liger or other obseenly fast zoids. And only the Energy Liger had enough armor in addition to that speed to make a real challenge. And the canyon had one other special trait. It was made from a special metal that created rarehertz waves, which could cause an unshielded zoid to go crazy, as well as jamming any ranged communications.
If anyone actually looked in the cockpit of the zoid, they wouldn't find the pilot who had gone crazy after hooking up to a ZPI. In fact, they wouldn't even find the ZPI. Instead they would discover a twelve year old boy with white hair piloting the zoid like any other. You see, the mission was a sham. This wasn't a mission to recover out of control prototype, this was in fact a faux mission to give the pilot more experience, as well as to give the developers battle data on the Energy Tiger. This mission was created with the sole purpose to bring the zoid closer to perfection. However, the rewards were real.
The radar began pipping, waking Usagi, the pilot from his nap. There were three zoids approaching from the south, one of only two enterances to this canyon. And judging from the reports Usagi had recieved, they were the three pilots who were after the zoid, thanks to the mission. "So," Usagi said, "they're finally here, you're up Susano'o," letting his other persona, Susano'o take over.
Unlike Usagi, who was rather kind, and didn't like to fight, Susano'o was ruthless and near undefeatable. "Finally, they kept us waiting." Susano'o turned his zoid around to face the oncoming zoids, switching on the energy charger and begining to charge energy into the Strike Energy Claws. When he was in range, Energy Tiger leaped into the air, and came down slashing at the nearer of the two land-based zoids.

Raven turned his Zoid up the canyon, taking everything into sight. Overhangs, a tunnel...This was going to be an interesting battle. He looked out of his Zoid at the other two people who had taken the mission. He contacted them through the radio, his face frowning on both their screens.
"You two sure you can handle this? I don't want anyone slowing me down." He waited for their reply, stopping his Zoid just outside the narrow into the canyon. "You ready, Lobo?" His Zoid gave out a low growl, facing the narrows of the canyon.
"I'm ready when you two are..."

"Alright, what's the plan, Y'all? I know for sure that this is going to be very, very difficult, you know?" He shook his head lightly.
"Uggh. This mission is going to be difficult."

Lenna smirked as she sat in her Zoid the Leo Blaze. Listening to Raven who she basically just met telling them not to slow him down! "Don't worry~ I can handle myself!" She spoke as the image of her smug smile was on the two screens as well. She found a good place to hide for the moment, a safe place behind some rock cropping near the canyon walls that wouldn't stop the Energy Tiger.
'Though I don't know what Jack will do...' "Jack? What's the plan?-Er you don't know either.. damn it!" She asked nervousness in her tone. They were most likely screwed... Noticing the slash attack from the Energy Tiger! "OH SHI- RUN RUN AWAYYY!" She yelled in her commlink on accident as she revved her Zoid to dodge the swipe as quickly as she could opting to run as fast as possible! "Damn it Damn DAMN IT!" She yelled as she began to panic. "DAMN IT! JACK, RAVEN HELP NOW!"

The target escaped the attack, useing it's lightness to it's advantage as it rapidly accelerated. Susano'o smirked, "They're not bad; Zaber this might be fun." the Energy Tiger, named Zaber, removed the charge from it's claws and dug them into the dirt, putting the most force on the front right.
The Zoid swung around and began pulling particles in using the charged particle intake fan. As the fangs locked back like a serpents, the particles, now charged with energy and mixed with tacyon particles, were molded into a tight packed sphere using a magnetic field. Zaber changed his ballence so that all the recoil would be forced down into the ground, and fired. The sphere exploded into a bright ice blue beam that nearly filled the entire canyon. There would barely be enough room for a skilled pilot to hide a small sized zoid in.

"Oy!"
Raven growled. This was annoying. Someone was already getting attacked. "Lobo, Let's move!" The Wolf growled and aimed two launchers near the two droids. "Smoke Canister, away!" One of his two smoke canisters shot in between the Cat and the Liger, an instant smoke-screen up.
"Lenna, get out of there." He said calmly, then switched to Jack's screen. "You're move. We need you to get up as high as you can while still being able to fire and distract him." He was still frowning, but it was now out of the battle, not out of nuetrality towards the two. "Lenna, you're with me."
He saw the energy gathering through the smoke, and groaned. "Quickly, Lenna. We need you to stay alive..." He growled and turned Lobo to run straight out of the canyon. He felt everything shake and had Lobo slide straight down to it's stomach, all four legs on the ground.

"Aw hell!" He said, as the gun began to fire. Panicking, he rushed over to where the Tiger was at full speed.
"Lenna! Move!" He said quickly, before dropping munitions on the target. Incindinary Bombs first, Cluster Bombs second. His goal was to inflict damage while using the fire in attempt to overheat the unit and make it harder to fire a Particle Beam, especially how he didn't see any Vents on the unit. In addition, his Sonic Boom cracked over the Tiger from 50 feet in the air. He obviously flew the long way through the valley or he wouldn't be able to do anything. He was approaching the Tiger from his rear flank, and pulled up quickly to avoid going in front of the Tiger's head too far, his speed quickly carrying him away from the dangerous target.

"DAMN IT!" Leo Blaze and Lenna shock from the vibration. Luckily though she heard her teammates yelling and managed to gain control of her twitching fingers. "Okay Leo Blaze" she whispered. "We're going up!" She roared as she ran as far away as she could from the Energy Tiger spotting a high ledge. Activating her boosters she propelled the Leo Blaze onto the ledge. "O-Okay, we're safe..." 'For now..'

The smoke was blown away by the CPC, the winds dispersing it so thin it was useless. As the light from the weapon faded, Susano'o, Usagi, and Zaber all saw that the Command Wolf likely couldn't continue. There hadn't been enough clearance between the ground and the beam, so it had just gotten it's back shaved by a beam of concentrated pain. The back mounted weapon was gone and the back armor was damaged as well. The rest looked to be in workable condition though.
All of a sudden, fire erupted around the Energy Tiger, preventing it from dispersing the excess heat. Then a bunch of firecrackers went off around the zoid. "Time to move Zaber!" The young prodigy boosted the zoid up to full speed, weakening the impact of the sonic boom that crashed into the zoid moments later, picking it up and throwing it to the ground and blowing the fires out.
He pinpointed the Leoblaze on his radar, "Don't think for a second that you can win this easily!" Susano'o said as Zaber pulled himself to his feet. He began building energy into the claws again, and ran at the ledge where the target was hiding. "Strike Energy Claw!!!" he yelled out, even though only Zaber and Usagi could hear him, due mostly to the Rarehertz waves in the area. Instead of aiming at the zoid, the attack was aimed at the ledge it was on.
The claws slashed through the stone, weakening it enough to collapse under the weight of even a zoid as light at the Leoblaze. Susano'o pulled the zoid around using the momentum just as he did before, putting most of the force on the front right leg and letting the momentum do the rest, getting ready to attack the Leoblaze while it was recovering from the fall.

Lobo stood up wearily, shaking itself thoroughly. Raven ran a quick systems operations check, finding that most of his equipment was still working.
"Ugh." Raven shook his head, taking a quick look around. "Lenna!" He growled out, seeing her getting attacked once again. He looked around one more time, then growled.
"Try not to hit me too hard while I'm on him, Jack!" He launched Lobo into action, his claws and fangs both charging. He was saving his last smoke canister, and jumped towards the Saber, aiming to claw its way up its back, and Lobo's charged fangs attempting to go for the back of it's neck.
He let out a yell as he went full-speed, hoping his ploy would work out long enough for Lenna to get some ground between her and the Saber. "Get out of there!"

He kind of figured what was going to do, Raven, so he knew he had to act quick. He quickly rerouted all power in his Zoid to the Buster Cannons, except enough to sustain enough life to keep him afloat. He wanted to sneak a shot in before the Command Wolf attacked.
"BUSTER CANNONS!" They charged up slightly, showing the power that had been routed to them. "FIRE!" He took aim at the Saber's neckish back area and fired his cannons, full strength at the monster, he made his Eagle backflip backwards a few times, but he caught air eventually, and started to fly once more.

"Ah!! Damn it the bastard!" Lenna growled as she felt the ground beneath her zoid break apart causing her to fall, seeing as the ledge went up in a step like manner she decided her best course of action. "Alright Leo Blaze here we GO!" Activating her zoid's boosters once more she tried to gain some form of balance in the air, then she dug the Leo Blaze's claws into the ledge slightly above it.
The sight was much like a cat climbing a wallpapered wall as the earth peeled away on contact with the huge claws. Turning around as much as she could to gain control over her fall she pushed the zoid's hind legs against the crumbling earth, with a heartfelt yell she started a strike laser claw of her own in an attempt to strike the Energy Tigers face! "STRIKE LASER CLAW!"

Two zoids attacked Susano'o and the third fired a powerful ranged weapon at him. "You think that this can beat me??" He jerked the controls to the left, Zaber jumping far to the side and raising his right paw.Needless to say, all three targets launched their attacks on an empty position. Worthless
"You little brats think you can beat me so easily?" Zaber brought the right paw down at the Command Wolf's back. The metal was already weakened by the E-CPC, and wouldn't likely hold up to much more abuse.
(three posts until the CPC can be fired again.)

Raven growled as his attack missed, the charge in the fangs and the claws fading. His situation only worsened as he saw a claw aiming towards Lobo's back. "Dammit!" He attempted to jump to the side, but he knew the attack would probably still hit.
"Use this advantage!" He almost yelled into the screens of the other two in the team, still trying to get away from the inevetable attack at his back.

Once he saw the Saber dodge the attack, he knew he had to act fast, and he was the only one that was fast enough to do it. Speeding into the canyon at Mach 2, he aimed his Zoid at the Energy Saber and engaged his Energy Shield.
"Get AWAY from them!!!!!!!!"
He was going to run full speed into the Saber while it was still in the air, and he made sure to give himself enough room to pull up if he missed the target, knowing without the EPC, the energy shield would easily protect him. He also know that if he hit the target, the target would likely go flying. But him going 1500 miles per hour, there wasn't a lot of time for the Saber to react at all. Let's see what would happen.
