He was rather surprised when he was calle dup almost immediately and was forced to scramble to get his gunsniper ready. Dashing out into the hanger area Marcus scambled up into his cockpit and started up everything. "Ok lets get this party started." Manuvering his gunsniper he headed for the entrance the ZBC indicated for him to go too.

"Fast huh? Good I'm fast as well" Vaan said. He looked to see who the opponents were. A lone gunsniper came out to the arena. Vaan planned his attacks carefully and thought about how to attack. The gunsniper was bad at close range and the command wolf was great at close combat that gave Vaan and Naia a slight advantage. Vaan's plan wouldn't work against this opponent so he needed a new plan. "Naia, do you have a plan? Mine is not useful in this situation" Vaan said. His plan was just line up the shot and make it count but in a two on one fight when the enemy specialized in shooting then that was hard even with the help of a teammate. All Vaan could do was rely on Naia to have a good plan and he'll back it up.

Ok so this was it pretty easy. It's just the two of them against 1 gunsniper even though it has an advantage now. They'd have to work hard to get to it and bring it down. Team work is now essential for the two if they want to win this. Okay so I have a plan. I take the left you go to the right. I will try to be the bait while you sneak up on it and bring it down. She said as she took an eager step forward with Wolf. She'd be the bait for today. If things change then I need to come up with another plan. We must get as close as...possible! She said thinking of a way to get close without getting hit.

Taking a deep breath he had his gunsniper come in crouching low. Its head sweeping back and forth as it entered the arena it let out a hissing growl as it stepped out into the light and stood straight looking too the two command wolves. Switching his communicator on he opened a channel to the two wolves and soon he looked at their faces as he maneuvered into position at the other side of the arena. “Hey folks ...... Nice too meet you.” the gunsnipers head twisted back and forth looking between the two wolves and noted that one had moved forwards slightly. Reading the ready stances of the two Zoids he began to figure out that they wanted to bring him into close range combat. Where their greater bulk would be of a greater advantage he would have to rely on the gunsnipers speed and maneuverability to not be taken out immediately. Reaching down he flicked a few switches and placed his battle gear into the slot. “Names Marcus.”

"Roger that Naia" Vaan said when he heard her plan. To Vaan's surprise the enemy pilot had opened communications with Vaan and Naia. "Nice to meet you too" Vaan said politely. Vaan got Fenrir in position and waited for the signal to begin. This pilot was very polite which was refreshing seeing as how a lot of pilots just fought and didn't even bother talking. "My name's Vaan" Vaan said introducing himself. Vaan typed in his call sign and placed his battle gear into the slot. He was ready to fight but waited for the referee to give the starting signal.

Naia watched as the gunsniper entered the arena. She then looked at the robot referee. She was anxious to start. This will be good experience for both of them. She too opened communication channel with the gunsniper. Nice to meet you. My name is Naia. She said introducing herself. So Marcus was his name. She patiently waited for the referee to let the battle begin. She counted along with the referee. Once the robot gave the sign to start Naia spoke. Let's rock! She got that from a film she saw. Quickly she pushed the command wolf to a fast pace trot. Wolf started to run at a quite fast speed heading towards the gunsniper.

“Charmed” Saluting Marcus cut the communications as the judge came into view and began to count down to the start. When the start came Marcus jammed the accelerator on the gunsniper and it hissed before taking off into the bush. In mere moments the gunsniper was gone into the dense underbrush. The radar reflective paint he used on his ZOID would hide him from their radar sweeps and their attempts to find him. The tree's and brush would have also hid his heat signature as he bobbed and weaved through the bush and made a hard left to head towards the hills and a higher vantage point.

The starting signal was given and Naia was off. The gunsniper was also already moving. "Alright Fenrir, let's show them how we fight" Vaan said as he pushed the buttons to make Fenrir move. Fenrir dashed to the right moving quickly. Marcus had made great use of the environment to hide his movements and he wasn't showing up on radar. "Where'd he go" Vaan asked as he swiftly moved around. Vaan looked around the area for any signs of the gunsniper. Vaan moved according to Naia's plan and hoped for the best. With two command wolfs this fight was in the bag, but you can never underestimate your opponent.

Wolf kept running in a straight line forward towards the bushes. She'd get in face to face with the gunsniper. It's weak against close range battle. She can't afford letting it go far away oor it will be very difficult to get there without getting shot. The command wolf leaped into the bushes following the sniper until it just disappeared from the radar. She chuckled once it disappeared. 'Well palying a game of hide and seek.' She thought in her own langauge. Okay Wolf, let's sniff it out! She said out to her command wolf as she too tried to make things hard for the gunsnsiper. She too entered the bushes and tried to minimalize the chances of the gunsniper finding them. She advanced trough the bushes, running towards the higher parts were seh assumed if she was the pilot would go and hide somewere there to shoot both the command wolves down. She must hurry before he ge settles and starts aiming. It's to risky to get out in the open that'd be to easy so she remained in the dense brush trying not to get in open area.

It took about 3 minutes for The gunsniper to finally break out of the bushes. Coming to a halt Marcus looked about at his surroundings. There was a river too the right and the hills to the left. Getting to a hilltop would be the best place for Marcus to go if he wanted to get a good hunker spot. But with two opponents against one he would have to think differently. Most expected gunsnipers to immediately move too the high ground and that's what Marcus counted on. Likely there would be one heading for the highest point to cut him off so he turned and went for the river. There were nice high banks and some rock outcroppings so he moved in behind them and watched the edge of the brush for his quarry. If they came busting out to catch him on the hilltops he could catch them from behind. Raising his radar he began to sweep actively for them so no one decided to sneak up on him.

Three minutes had passed and Vaan still hadn't found Marcus. It was time for another plan. Vaan stopped running and walked into a small hole in a rock wall right near him. Facing a tall mountain and a stream Vaan turned his missile launcher on and waited. The first sign of Marcus shooting and Vaan would shoot. Vaan also kept a close eye on Naia and was ready to provide support if necessary. Vaan and Fenrir waited patiently like a cat stalking it's prey, just waiting for the slightest movements from the gunsniper to give it's location away.

Naia looked around, on her radar all she could see was Vaan the gunsniper was no were to be found. 'Darn it, either the stream or hill. Let me scan the hill first even so when I'm up there I will be able to spot it too.' She thought as she piloted Wolf to the hills. wolf going at quite a fast speed running up the hill. On top of the hill there was no bushes to hide from. Well she must take the risk, seeing she's the bait. When he starts to shoot then they will know it's location. She ran up the hill the wolf not stopping as when she stopped it will be easier to shoot at and land a hit. Going up the hill now. She said telling Vaan were she was going.

Marcus frowned as he watched his radar. One was heading out of the bushes and up the hill like he figured and the other had taken up a position over by him. “Great ..... shoot either one and I'm open for the other.” He didn't have much time to figure this out so he weighed out the options quickly. Turning his Gunsniper to face Vaan's zoid he looked up at it and took aim not at the ZOID but the rock outcropping above it. Once he got a lock he flicked up the firing guard and pulled the trigger. Soon 4 missiles erupted from the gunsnipers shoulders and streaked towards the rock mound. If he did this right the collapse would seal the command wolf inside the cave taking him out of the battle for the moment. “Peek a boo!!”

"Roger that Naia" Vaan said. He heard the sound of missiles but before he was able to do anything about it rocks sealed him in the cave. "Naia, he's over here by me! I won't be able to help for a bit" Vaan said through the communicator. Vaan started to try and dig through the rocks that sealed him in the cave. It was hard but Vaan chipped away one rock with only a ton more left to go.

Naia watched the area carefully not seeing the gunsniper. 'Darn by teh river then!' She thought but then she heard shooting. She turned the command wolf immediately to were Vaan was. She then headed towards were she thought the gunsniper might be. Going there now. She said as she ran down the hill heading to the river. It didn't take long that she spotted the cave that had fallen in, well the gunsniper must be close. She was out open, but one shot she'd know were he is. She just waited for him to shoot. Were do you think the bullet came from? She asked as she kept running searching for the sniper.
