Ai Otome had been busy today working on her shield liger. She had finished polishing it and decided to go into town. Ai made her way to a mall and bought a few outfits that looked exactly like the one she was wearing, same color and everything. After Ai finished buying clothes she put them in her shield liger and went around town some more. She came across a bar that was very familiar and went inside.
Ai was wearing an open red bodysuit with short shorts, a white belt, and a small yellow shirt to cover her chest. She also had white arm warmers on both arms. Her stomach was also clearly visible. Ai has purple hair and blue eyes. She stands at five feet nine inches and weighs one hundred fifty pounds.
Ai sat down on a stool and looked over the menu. While deciding what to order she looked at the t.v. screen to watch the current battle. It was a gunsniper and blade liger against a gunsniper and shadow fox. Ai decided to order a salad and an orange soda. Ai promptly paid for her meal and continued watching the battle. Ai took a quick look around the bar and noticed that not many people were there. That was fine with her, Ai didn't like noise to much so this was just as good. Ai quietly ate her food and drank her soda. This had been the right thing to do toady, relax.

For the first time since the creation of Oz, the man behind the mask decided to go into town. Not for any registration or battle configurations, but for the sheer random act of going into Romeo City. In order to keep himself relevant in the news, appearances had to be made to prove he was alive, so to speak. After all, he was the son of one of the city's wealthiest businessmen. His father was obsessed with profit and success in the world of Zoids part manufacturing. Tristan - or should we say Oz? - was more in tune with the art of putting those parts to use. Though he had the mind for business, it was an empty life.
He took up the silver mask and built his own organization revolving around Zoids battles. Unlike others who viewed Zoids as something akin to toys to be played with, Oz knew that the true strength lied in warfare and true battle - not games. As such, he had never participated in anything but duels in his time as a Zoids pilot. All else was seen as an unnecessary game in comparison to the true test that came from one warrior fighting head-to-head with another. As such, he had an instinctive ability to analyze other pilots.
It wasn't a surprise to see another pilot at a restaurant. There were pilots all over Romeo City. However, this was a rather new pilot. He had read the files of the pilots in and around Romeo City, keeping tabs on possible opponents. This girl was the one that piloted a Shield Liger...Ai Otome.
"Greetings, Ai Otome," the masked man said nonchalantly, taking a seat at a nearby table. He would determine for himself what sort of pilot she was.

Ai heard somebody say her same so she looked towards the source of the voice. A man with a silver mask covering his face had called her name. "Hello" Ai said back to the man. She thought for a moment and then spoke again. "Excuse me but how do you know my name" Ai asked curiously yet politely. She was sure she had never met this man before. This kinda freaked Ai out but she remained clam. "If you don't mind me asking, who are you" Ai asked politely. She was curious about this man.

"I know your name from the records. As a Zoids pilot, your information is on the roster of eligible opponents. I simply...like to know who I may be fighting. He who knows his opponent, knows victory - or so the saying goes," the masked man replied, "I am Oz, leader of the OZ organization."
It was becoming less and less awkward to act as the masked man, keeping his identity hidden while in the city. At times, it seemed like he was turning more into the mask than his own self.
"Are you participating in the Spring Brawl tournament?" he asked.

Ai listened to the man's explanation of how he knew her name. "Well that makes sense" Ai said thoughtfully. The man introduced himself as Oz. "Well pleasure to meet you mister Oz" Ai said politely. Oz mentioned something about a tournament. "No, I'm not signed up for any tournament" Ai replied. She had been away from town for a while and hadn't heard about a tournament. Ai finished her meal and wiped her mouth with a napkin. This way she'd be able to talk to Oz without being distracted by food. If there was one thing Ai hated, it was being rude to anybody.

Brushing his long hair aside, Oz looked over to the young lady for a moment. "You should think about joining," he advised, "It would be an interesting way to test yourself as a pilot. It is a tournament entirely revolving around one-on-one duels. No additional systems, no firearms, no external weapons...simply one zoid against another, using only their natural abilities."
In truth, he wanted to see what the girl was capable of. In his eyes, some people were warriors while others...well, they were simply people playing with machines. This tournament was a good way to discover who fell into which category. Victory or defeat was irrelevant as long as the battle was real and true to the nature of a duel itself. Oz wanted to see if this Ai Otome would prove to be one of the interesting ones.

Ai listened intently as Oz described the tournament. It sounded like a great chance to fight and test her piloting skills. No weapons save claws and fangs and the pilots using their natural abilities. Ai thought about it for a moment and then smiled. "Alright. I think I will join. Sounds like a good chance to test myself" Ai said smiling. Ai hadn't had a good fight in a while and though this tournament would be good for keeping her skills polished. A pilot's fear is rusty skills after all.

"Excellent..." the black-suited man remarked with a slight grin, "It may be good to have additional entrants into the event. Who knows? We may end up on opposite sides of the arena for a match of our own."
He relished in the thought. His Shield Liger against hers, proving whether or not she was the kind of pilot he'd hoped she would be. With the numerous other teams out there vying for power, and some even merging, it would be tough to surpass them. If this girl was half as good as Oz sensed, she would stir things up a bit in the standing.
Reaching into his pocket, it was made clear that the masked man's cellphone was vibrating. He turned it horizontally and examined the screen, reading whatever was displayed before placing it back in his pocket. Standing up from his seat, the masked man bowed his head to Ai and said, "It looks like I'll have to say goodbye. Farewell for now...until we meet again, Ai Otome."

The masked man simply known as Oz spoke and Ai listened. She flashed a big grin at Oz's statements. "I'll hope that we do end up on other sides of the arena" Ai said happily. She was eager to fight somebody soon and show everybody just how good a pilot she was. "Yeah bye...for now" Ai said. She was full from her meal and decided to leave. She didn't really have a place to go to but Ai usually stayed inside her shield liger. Ai got into her shield liger and walked around deciding on what to do next.
