Strengths
1.) Assassination/Infilatration Training: Shadow has learned the art of infiltration and assassination due to his time with the Backdraft group. As such he is very good at infiltrating bases and the like, and sabotaging them if necessary.
2.) Criminal Knowledge: Being a part of Backdraft has given Shadow a considerable amount of criminal knowledge in terms of black markets and other such shadier types of places.
3.) Apathy: Shadow has the ability to completely drop any feelings he may have and complete detach himself from any emotional concerns he may have in order to become more efficient.

Personality:
Shadow is generally very stoic. His experiences in life and the army have caused him to be bitter and pessimistic about life and humanity in general, his time in Backdraft further hardening him. At his core however, he’s actually very kind but will only show this side nowadays to his teammates and sister. His desire to protect his sister is so strong that he’s been known to chase down people with his Lightning Saix if they so much as joke about dating her. He has also been known to enjoy music and despite his dark nature, likes music of all genres.
History:
Shadow grew up in Akatoni with his younger sister Sakashi. His life at first was pretty normal, loving parents in a small town, neither rich nor poor. Unfortunately, when Shadow was 10, his parents were killed in an accident leaving Shadow to provide for both himself and his sister. When he was 14, he joined the Helic Republic army in order to support his sister after the death of his parents early in his life. As time went on however, Shadow grew disgusted with the governments of both the Guylos Empire and the Helic Republic. Neither side seemed to free of corruption, and it felt like he was being commanded by incompetent aristocrats. His disgust reached a breaking point however when an incompetent commander who got his position through connections lead his group into what was clearly a trap and resulted in the utter annihilation of his unit with the exception of himself. After this disaster, Shadow quit the Helic army and began doing independent mercenary work in order to get money for his sister.
While working as a mercenary, Shadow was often called in to help teams in Zoids battles in the ZBC. As he fought in these battles, Shadow became dissatisfied with the attitudes and capabilities of many of the Zoid Warriors. Their attitude and opinion of soldiers and real pilots was disgusting and he found the skill that many warriors displayed nothing short of pitiful.
After working in a battle for an uppity rich boy by the name of Harry Champ in a Class C battle, Shadow’s disgust had reached another breaking point. It was here that he was approached by a man of the name of Sigma Stoller. Stoller had been observing Shadow and had noticed his discontent with the Zoids Battle Comission as well as the attitude of many pilots in general. He then extended an invitation to Shadow to join an underground group of Zoid Warriors who fought not for glory and prestige, but to better themselves through illegal life-risking battles and challenging the legitimate teams to become stronger through true fights. Though hesitant at first, Shadow had no problems when Stoller offered a hefty signing bonus that would support Sakashi through high school easily, and accepted on the spot.
As part of Backdraft, Shadow learned many things while part of the organization. Not only did he become trained in assassination and infiltration arts in order to keep the ZBC off the Backdraft group’s trail and such, but his knowledge of the underworld of Zoids grew extensively. During his time with them, Shadow piloted a Lightning Saix, a zoid he used to deadly effect in the unsanctioned battles he participated in. As time went on however, Shadow noticed that the Backdraft group had begun following a more and more corrupt path. After a raid on a Zoids team for no other reason than them possessing a single zoid that the higher ups wanted, Shadow decided that the Backdraft group was no longer the same group he’d first join and planned to leave it after 2 years with them. Unfortunately, it seemed the group had already fallen too far, and the higher ups ordered for Shadow to be eliminated. Shadow was able thanks to the speed and agility of the Lightning Saix, however the zoid’s cannon port was heavily damaged in his escape and he was unable to repair it.
After his escape, Shadow discovered that Sakashi had ended up joining the Helic Republic Army despite his wishes. After reconciling with each other, Sakashi called on the help of a Guyos pilot she’d met by the name of Reven Vrake. With Reven’s help, he was able to join the Zoids team that he was establishing with Sakashi and one of her friends, Amaya.

Description: This Lightning Saix is the zoid that Shadow piloted as part of the Backdraft group. During his escape and defection from the group however, the cannon port of the Lightning Saix was badly damaged, rendering it unable to mount any weapons until it can be fixed. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that Shadow will be able to do so until the SNAFU team can break into B-Class.
