Personality: Amaya is a follower of her ideals, a believer in justice, and strides to become a true hero. She is selfless and will do what she can to help anyone and everyone, regardless of race, even if it puts herself at risk. She will always try to find a way to solve problems that doesn’t involve sacrificing anyone, believing that there is always a way to save everyone. Although this is an extremely optimistic view, she never ceases in this view and regardless of what happens, of what the other side does, she will try to stop them without killing.
When she isn’t busy trying to rescue someone or getting himself patched up, she’s actually not that bad a girl. She’s nice to people, albeit sometimes a little dense socially, but she does her best. She is…rather easily tricked when she’s got her guard down, leading to quite a few funny scenarios mostly involving her being somewhere she doesn’t want to be.
She's rather booksmart though, especially when it comes to Zoids. Some think it's a sort of obsession with them, as she seems to know...well, a bit too much. Being merely a mechanic, you'd expect her to know about parts and such, but she knows MUCH more than that. She knows about things she really shouldn't, and things that are just plain surprising. However, her biggest obsession would have to be with the Geno Saurer. It isn't sure why, but she refuses to use almost ANYTHING aside from that, unless it is absolutely necessary.
History: Born in the land of Romeo City, a good chunk of Amaya's childhood was largly filled with Zoids. From tournaments to famous pilots to even models, Zoids were all around her and well...she loved them. At first she thought they were 'cool' just like any other kid and simply enjoyed watching them, but a curious child's mind began to wonder deeper into Zoids, questioning about their functionality and what makes them tick. Unusual questions for a child her age, her parents simply made up childish answers for her and while she acted like she believed them, she knew better. A bit smart for a child, she began visiting the library for books about Zoids.
It was around when she was twelve that she learned about her Dad's actual profession. For the earlier years, he kept it hidden from their daughter to try and dissuade her from Zoids, but since that didn't quite work, he decided to give up the act. He told her that he worked for the Zoids Battle Commission and she was immediately curious about it, since she didn't know what they were yet. As he explained to her that day, she began to grow to admire them and wanted to join them. However, she was curious why her father didn't pilot an actual Zoid in fights. He simply told her it was his dream to protect people, to keep them safe, and to do so he would help enforce the rules that kept Zoid fights stable and, in his own way, work to fend off the Backdraft group.
When she was old enough, having taken her father's ideals to heart, she joined the Zoids Battle Commission and, thanks to her knowledge of Zoids and how they function from research, she signed up as a mechanic and decided to see first hand all the things she learned in books. She was actually able to pick up the trade rather quickly, easily fixing up the zoids under the ownership of the ZBC. They didn't get much use, so they often fell into disrepair, which is when she fixed them up.
When she was twenty four, she was taken out to some ruins that the ZBC had been digging in, mostly as a judge of the condition of a Zoid they found there. She hadn't been told what Zoid in particular they found, but when she saw it, her jaw dropped. There, sitting there and excavated, was a Geno Saurer. She hadn't seen one in person before and sort of 'fell in love' with it at first sight. Unfortunately, it was in bad shape, its generator was in horrible condition, making it so at this point, it couldn't even run properly, and most of its weapons were in disrepair. She took up the job of fixing it, getting it back into working order so it could be used in the name of the Zoids Battle Commission.
On the way back from the ruins, they stopped in a village for a couple of days as a pit stop, allowing everyone to rest up for the rest of the trip. During this short little stay, she met a young girl named Sakashi, who seemed quite interested in Zoids. Although she didn't have much time, Amaya decided to teach the girl a bit in the way of Zoids and even repairing them, though when she had to leave, she left some of her old guides with Sakashi on Zoids, seeing as she herself didn't need them anymore.
For the next few years, she spent most of her time working on repairing the Geno Saurer, learning a lot about this specific Zoid and some of the unusual technologies in it. The generator proved definitely difficult, only managing to repair it in that time frame enough so that it could turn on and power the primary weapons, which ALSO had to be fixed, replaced, and whatever else needed to be done to them. They varied in their condition. She couldn't power the auxillery functions on the Geno Saurer with the generator in its current state and she couldn't get the Charged Particle Cannon functioning properly either, so she left the latter for the time being.
During the fourth year of working on the Geno Saurer, she was finally informed of what would become of it. It would sit there, unused. It's raw power, wasted. Amaya didn't like this. She knew just how powerful the Geno Saurer could be and she didn't want to waste that. With its strength, they could bring down Backdraft and return peace to the people. They could protect them. This powerless approach to things.....she hated it. So she did the simplest thing in the world.
She left the Zoids Battle Commission and took the Geno Saurer with her. She simply wandered for a bit, lacking a job and well...not on the good side of the ZBC. However, she soon got word from Sakashi, who she had kept in touch with over the years to track her progress, that her, along with an ally of hers from the Guylos military, were forming a zoid team. Having nowhere else to go, she joined them and fights as a member of the team.
Zoid: Geno Saurer
Status: Handicapped
Rank: Originally A, but current status puts it at B-rank
Description: An oddity among typical Zoids, this particular Zoid is currently in a state of disrepair beyond normal methods. The Generator is in a damaged state, disabling some of its latter functions and only providing the power necessary to run its primary systems and weapons, and secondary functions such as its boosters cannot be used. The Charged Particle Cannon in its mouth is also in a heavy state of disrepair and has proven extremely difficult to fix. Its armaments include the following:
-Hyper Killer Fangs
-Hyper Killer Claws (2)
-Hyper Strike Claws (2)
-Laser Gun
-Long Range Pulse Laser Rifle (2)
-Charged Particle Cannon (Currently Unable to be used)
Offense: Long
-The Geno Saurer is equipped with a multitude of armaments that make it capable of handling combat in almost any situation, though due to the nature of the pilot and its current state, it mostly fights in long range.
Defense: Armor
-While originally being quite the fast unit, in its current state it is incapable of utilizing all of its speed, and so it must rely on its armor more often in order to survive
Strategy: Tactical
-When Amaya has control over the Geno Saurer, she tries to avoid damage by watching the enemy's movements and countering them accordingly, utilizing the Zoid's multiple range weaponry.
