Spring Brawl Round 1 (Amaya vs. Amaya)

[Aiyoku Amaya]

A tournament, a wonderful chance to get the Zoid out for some fresh air, a bit of stretching. Amaya needed a bit of a break from the typical routine too and, hey, if she won this then they'd have a bit more money in their wallet. After one of their latest investments....some cash would be really nice. She remembered noticing that Shadow was in this particular one too, so they had twice the chance of winning.

As the zoid stepped into the arena, gasps were heard from the crowd along with quite a bit of muttering. She expected as much. After all, it wasn't every day you got to see something even close to a Geno Saurer. Although she was in the arena, or the platform that these fights would be on anyway, she didn't go close to the center like many normally would. Rather...she stayed closer to the edge, not right up against it, but she was pretty close.

"Let's see who we end up with to fight...." she thought out loud as she looked towards the other entrance, waiting for her opponent.

[Amaya]

A zaber fang entered the arena. Amaya had been dying to get involved in this tournament especially when she heard what the prize would be. She could use a whale king to either keep or sell. Either way it would serve a purpose and it was worth taking a chance. That wasn't her only reason, she was itching to fight a decent zoid pilot.

When Amaya saw her opponents zoid she smirked. "A Geno Saurer. Now there is something worth fighting." Amaya said happily. The Zaber fang growled loudly and rushed forward tauntingly and then stopped rearing back. It roared threateningly again. "Make the first move." Amaya said.

[Aiyoku Amaya]

When the enemy finally arrived, Amaya was somewhat disappointed. A Zaber Fang, of all things? Such a common Zoid....oh well, it was a relatively simple one, easy to beat. Because both sides lacked the power to use guns, it only had its fangs and claws, which couldn't use their true strength due to the rules. Meanwhile, she had two sets of claws as well as a full mouth of teeth, plus a little trick of her own in case things called for it.

While the Zaber Fang taunted her, she didn't acknowledge it and waited patiently, as the fight hadn't started yet. It didn't take long though for the judge's capsule to land in the arena, kicking up a large cloud of dust and blocking the visuals of both parties.

"They need to clean this stage." she commented as the capsule opened and the Judge within emerged and cued the battle to start.

The field of this stadium has become a designated Zoid Battle Field and is now restricted! Only competitors and personnel have authorized entry! Danger all others must leave the area at once! Area scanned! Battle Field set up! Aiyoku Amaya versus Amaya Zetsumei. Battle mode 0240. Ready! Fight!.

And with that, the battle officially started. A roar was issued from the Geno Saurer as it took its stance, walking forward a few steps but stopping and staring down the enemy. She wasn't going to risk unnecessary damage. She would take down the enemy in the most efficient, quick method possible.

[Amaya]

Amaya was glad to see the judge capsule finally arrive. She was ready to get this battle started. This was the chance she had been dying for. She would finally get the chance to show off her skills and show that this common zoid had a lot more potential then people assumed.

Amaya watched the Geno Saurer step forward and like a bullet she shot off towards the Geno Saurer, but stopped midway and shot off to the left then the right eventually running in a zig zag pattern filled with jumps and brief runs. When she was close she jumped over the Geno Saurer and when she landed behind it she kicked out with her back legs attempting to hit the Geno Saurer with a very powerful kick accompanied by very sharp claws that could tear through metal.

Amaya simply watched the enemy begin their zig-zag pattern, sighing slightly from the display. Simple pattern, simple to beat. She was preparing to strike back, but she was slightly surprised when it jumped over her. Still, this just made things easier for her. The rules stated that if you pushed the enemy off the edge, you win the match, and at this point the enemy was VERY close to the edge. Because of her position, there was little space between the Zaber Fang and the edge of the stage, and it just put itself in a very bad situation.

As it began its kick, the Geno Saurer began to turn its entire body, swinging its tail around to slam into the side of the Zaber Fang. Because it used its rear legs for the kick, it would be less capable of recovering from this attack, and with the little space present, most likely push them off. Thanks to the turn, the kick didn't hit directly, but one of its legs was scraped by the claws of one of the Zaber's legs. Nothing that a little work couldn't cover up.

[Amaya]

Amaya cursed loudly. She hated the fact she was going to be so easily defeated. She wasn't going to fall over the edge that much she could stop, but it would come at a heavy price. When the tail made contact she was sent flying and during a flip she dug all her claws into the ground forming deep gashes in the floor. Her computer screen started blinking red as the major damage to the zoid's legs were finally being broadcasted. Her zoid came to a screeching halt barely away from the edge. She urged her zoid forward, but knew it was useless. The damage she had sustained from stopping her zoid from going over was to major. Her zoid collapsed from the strain and it was over. "That was a short match...I'm sorry I wasn't a better opponent, but the next time we fight...I won't be so easily defeated!" Amaya proclaimed over the speaker. She didn't sound angry, she sounded happy. She was glad to finally fight someone who was a threat and would prove a worthy advisory.

[Aiyoku Amaya]

Amaya simply watched from the corner of her eye on the visual display as the Zaber Fang was sent flying by the tail, managing to just barely avoid falling off. That was a quick fight...though it did put her one step closer to winning some free cash. The crowd seemed to go silent for a moment as they watched the zoid try to get up, but when it failed, it was clear that the fight was over. The Judge acknowledged this as well, and raised the red colored left arm, pointing it towards the Geno Saurer as the buzzer rang, signalling the end of the fight.

Battle Over! Battle Over! The winner is... Aiyoku Amaya! it announced, cheers coming from the crowd as the Geno Saurer walked towards its fallen opponent. She didn't intend to taunt them, she simply wished to state the facts.

"I apologize, but as an ally of justice, I cannot afford to lose just yet. Not when Backdraft is still about." she said, before walking the Geno Saurer to the exit and leaving the arena, thinking of different sorts of plans for the next opponent in the tournament she'd have to fight.

[Amaya]

Amaya said nothing. She simply waited until her zoid was removed from the area. She would be back and she wouldn't go down so quickly if it all.
