Appearance:Rui stands 5'7 and no more than 107 lbs. She has somewhat short, black hair. Her eyes are a very deep green that looks almost black. Her ears aren't pierced, however she does have a metal clip on her left ear. Dispite spending most of her life working in the sun, she has rather fair skin. She wears a pair of black denim shorts that end about one third of the way down her calf with black tennis shoes. For a shirt she wears a bale pink long sleeved shirt with deep pink sleeves.
Personality:Rui is rather kind and even the slightest bit bubbly most of the time. If you try to mess with her or if you're fighting against her in a zoid battle, watch out, because she won't pull any punches. Though she is outwardly kind, she is a two sided person, being truely distant. Because of past trauma, Rui cannot easily get close to other humans. One could know her for her entire life and still not know what she is truely like on the inside.
History:Rui was born seventeen years before the current date. She was raised in a close-knit village in a moderatly sizemicly active region, thought to be utterly avarage for most of her life. As she grew, she found she had an unusual ability to fix zoids, often being called upon by the village-folk to fix their damaged zoids. Though this earned her a decent amount of money, her family's main sorce of income was agriculture, agumented on the off season with zoid part scavenging. Piloting a zoid borrowed from the village, she would defeat wild zoids and salvage what she could from their oft mangled corpses. When she was out, she found that she could understand what the zoid wanted, allowing her to repair minor damage that escaped the notice of the zoid's owner.
She was about six when she first found out about zoid battles. A zoid team was passing through and needed to purchase some supplies, and get their zoids repaired. They were directed to six-year-old Rui, already noted as a zoid mechanic prodigy, for the latter end. The team stayed a bit longer than normal, the captan saw the promise in her and showed her recordings of their battles. After that she was obsessed, day dreams of zoid battle filling her every spare second.
When she would go out on scaveging runs, she would try out new strategies each time, trying to find the ones that worked the best. She also began to work much harder at her chores and scavenging, hoping to someday be able to save up enough to buy her own zoid. At night she would dream sweet dreams of zoid battles. She viewed each one as a good dream, whether or not she won the battle. After her eighth birth-day, however, these sweet dreams turned sour, filled with phantom images of gargantuan black and red zoids shooting beams of light from their mouths, as well as massive blue scorpion zoids shooting near-identicle beams of light from their tails. Soon after these dreams began, the zoitec corperation was destroyed by the Beserk Führer, with the culpret zoid disappearing.
By age nine, Rui's nightmares were taking their toll on her health. The would awaken her in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. This, combined with the strain from the harvest season and her part scavenging, caused her to colapse one day while working in the fields. The whole village worried about her. It took about three days for her to regain consciousness, her body recovering from being pushed so hard. When she awoke, an earthquake hit, though but a minor one, much like the others. When some of the villagers went to investigate some bright lights seen in the mountains about the time of the earthquake, they found a gaping hole in the side of the mountain, a small herd of wild zoids decimated by a charged particle weapon near by.
About a week later Rui went out, dispite her parents objections, with a group of friends on a scavenging mission in refurbished republic command wolfs. What they found, however, was not the wild zoids they hoped to find. Instead they found the Berserk Führer, finishing off a herd of wild zoids. It quickly noticed them, attacking the group with no mercy. It first destroyed the units used for the front line, even while the others pounded it with weapons fire. The bullets did nothing to the Führer, with the exeption of angering it. It attacked the rear units once it finished with the front line, quickly decimating the zoids piloted by Rui's neighbors. Finaly it turned towards Rui. It charged her, attacking with the claws built into it's Zero armor.
It's attack devistated the command wolf she was in, near disabling it. She was horror struck when it began building energy just like the monsters in her dreams. Before it could fire, she managed to rotate the cannon on the command wolf's back just enough and fire a single round into the Berserk Führer's mouth, disableing it and forcing it to retreat while it recovered.
Though the zoids were all heavily damaged, they were eventually repaired and no one was killed, though some of the pilots suffered serious injury. Rui, on the other hand, wasn't. She wasn't quite the same for quite a while after the incedent. She would sometimes black out, still working, but not responding should anyone attempt to talk to her. Her family responded by reducing her work load, though she was still distant, which never quite disappeared. After another year, she began going on scavenging runs again. On her first solo one, she found none of the damage caused by the Beserk Führer she expected. A few days later she was wandering outside the village on foot.
She found her way into a cave where she saw the very same Beserk Führer that had attacked her more than a year before.
This time, instead of attacking her, it almost cowered from her. When she got close, she discovered that the zoid was covered in damage not done by the fight with the village. It seemed that it had been jumped by several other zoids that had simply overwhelmed it. The next day Rui returned with her tool kit and some spare parts, deciding to take mercy on it and repair it. Before she started, she made a deal with the Führer to not attack anyone from the village unless attacked first, and then only to defend itself. It took her nearly a year to fully restore the zoid, as she could only repair it in her spare time. As the restorations on the Beserk Führer progressed, Rui began to recover herself.
When the repairs were complete, the Führer left, much to Rui's dissapointment. After that, she redoubled her efforts with her parents farm as well as her scavenging, eventually going on solo runs. When the harvest was done one year, Rui went on a scavenging spree that lasted severl days, more than a week. She returned to a horrendice sight. Her village was destroyed, leaving her an 11 year old orphan alone in the world. She ran away from the village, forgetting the zoid that she had used on her scavenging run. She ran for days, not knowing where her feet would carry her. Eventually she found an old friend, the Berserk Führer she had helped. She stopped running, giving up on living, thinking the zoid was going to kill her, dispite her helping it.
The Zoid didn't attack her though, instead saw that she was distressed, and allowed her into it's thingypit. Once inside, she told it every thing that happened, how she came upon what had happened to the village. The Beserk Führer had nothing to do with it, and Rui could feel this. The Führer had seen some larger zoids comming from the direction village not to long before. This ignighted Rui's fury and the Beserk Führer was willing to help her get revenge. She tracked down the band of thieves that the Führer had seen leaving the village and destroyed their zoids, though the thieves themselves escaped. After that she had no idea as to what to do, until an image from her past resurfaced. She remembered about zoid battles. She and the Berserk Führer that allowed her to name it 'Fury' traveled into the desert, eventually taking shelter in an abandoned black whale king. That transport zoid eventually became her new home, one that she shared with the only person she knew in the world, Fury.
When she went to register for zoid battles, the eleven year old was turned away due to her youth. She was still provided with a rule book though, and it near became her holy book. She memorized every passage in it over the next few five year, surviving thanks to her scavenging skills and Fury of course. When she turned seventeen, she returned to the Zoids Battle Commision. This time she registered successfully, and was given a Gustav for transport, much like any other zoid warrior would. for her home number, she used the contact number for her black Whale King, though it couldn't move yet.
Only a couple of months after she registered with the Zoids Battle Commision, a Crest owned ZOS unit equiped on a Whitz Tiger Imitate they had, uh..."aquired" overloaded and and destroyed the zoid. As a side effect, the resulting timespace ripple caused the ZOS unit on Fury to activate, creating a 'timespace clone' of everything within the blast radius; the Whale King, Fury, Rui, etc. However, two clones of Rui were created. The origanal of everything is still in the local timespace, but one Rui clone was sent far into the past, and the other Rui clone, as well as all the other clones, were sent into an alternate timeline. The shock of the activation damaged the ZOS unit beyond repair, salvage, or study, and also caused severe damage to Fury, rendering her unable to move.
Rui wasted no time in adjusting to this new world, and has already registered with this worlds ZBC. She is currently attempting to restore Fury, and has aquired a Buster Eagle to use in the mean time.
Zoid:Evoflyer
Status:Upgraded-shield
Rank:D (C after upgrade)
Description:The EvoFlyer is a Microraptor type Zoid created by the Helic Republic. Often painted in Republic white and blue, this zoids boasts not only impressive land speed, but also the ability to transform into a speedy flight form able to fly at Mach 1.8, an impressive speed for such a small zoid. In flight mode, it generates lift through Maglift technology. Armed in both forms with two AZ assault rifles and electron bite fang technology, this zoid is one to be reconed with whether on land or in the skys. In addition to being an efficiant 'grunt' zoid, Evoflyer is also a Fuzor, able to combine with Gairyuki to form Gairyuki Speed, a faster, flying version of Gairyuki. This specific Evoflyer seems to have a slightly modified Zoid core, making it more intellegent than the average zoid; however, this can cause conflict with the pilot. In addition, Rui's Evoflyer is painted in a black color scheme instead of the usual Republic white and blue.
Rui found this zoid not far from where she landed in the desert after what she has since termed the 'Time-Space Crash'. Heavily damaged and half buried in the sand, Rui hauled the zoid back to her Whale King with her Gustav...which promptly broke. While the Zoid was heavily damaged, it wasn't damaged to the same extent as either the Beserk Fuhrer(a timespace crash will do a number on any zoid), or the Gustav(a loose part broke the zoid core); within a month, Rui had fixed and upgraded the zoid with alloys from her own world that were in the Whale King before the T-S Crash, she also added an E-shield. Soon, she was ready to once again take part in Zoid battles.
Offense:Mid Range:
Evoflyer prefers to charge in headfirst while spamming ranged weapons, then finish off the opponent with the Electron Bite Fangs or Zan Smashers
Defense:Speed:
With any zoid that allows it, Rui would prefer to dart around at great range to avoid being hit. However, she always likes to have an E-shield or the like as a back-up. Evoflyer also happens to like this stratigem
Strategy:Reckless:
This is where Rui and Evoflyer really differ, you see, Rui prefers to stay back and attack from a distance, preventing the opponent from moving. Evoflyer, on the otherhand, likes to, as stated above, rush the target, attacking with ranged weapons as it goes, then finishing the target off with a Melee attack.
Question: is that enough history? X3
