Spring Brawl Round 2 (Drago vs. Drake)

[Nathan Drake]

Then all of a sudden Drago suddenly slowed down... which made him an easy target for Nathan, but Nathan didn't fall for the bait. "A straight physical fight right now is in his favor... I have to play smart" he murmed to himself as he continued to watch every movment of the Shield Liger. This was consideribly easier to do now since the foe is running much slower. Nathan had to wait for his foe to make a mistake... because he knows if they go head to head... he would get manhandled and be flying off the edge.

[Drago]

Drago got tired of being the only one doing something so he slid to a stop turning to face the command wolf. Drago moved his controls forward running straight at the front of the command wolf. When he was about a zoid length away he leaped into the air and with went to bring his claw down on the Command wolfs head (think strike laser claw style), if it hit it would do enough damage to cause a freeze to occur.

Nathan would see his foe stop right infront of him, and then dash towards him. "I think he finally slipped up" Nathan said to himself. He would then make Command Wolf go foward a little bit, and then dunk down causing the Shield Liger to go over Command Wolf and his attack to miss. Then right when the Zoid was exactly above him, Nathan would send Command Wolf up with a large jump attempting to hit the underbelly of the Zoid. If this worked the Shield Liger would be sent directly up in the sky. Then with its under belly exposed Nathan would make Command Wolf to jump up, and send a bite right to the under belly of the Zoid.

Since most Zoids do not have any armor on their under belly the attack would be devastating, and would probably take a huge chunk from the Zoids belly, and severly damaging it.

[Drago]

The command wolf Hit Drago's liger in the underbelly just behind the generator in a way that caused it to flip over and land on its back. Drago fiddled with the controls to cause his liger to roll over onto its side while it still was sliding. Planting a couple of its claws to get it on to it's belly Drago managed to get himself up Just as he stopped sliding. Woo that was close

Drago's liger shook clearing the dirt from its crevasses. Drago patted his ligers control panel saying to it Don't worry we will get him eventually and when we do I will give you a good bath after fixing any damage that is done I give you my word

Drago's liger Roared in response as he pushed his liger forward again this time when he leaped forward he let himself stay closer to the ground so Nathan can't get underneath him again without being put in a precarious situation himself.

Nathan saw the Liger lunge forward at him. He then did a side-jump to the side to dodge the lunge, and put his right paw down on the ground to turn him 90 degrees. He was then facing about diagonally to the right side of Shield Ligers rear. "Now..." he yelled as he lunged forward at the Shield Liger with his claws out. He was trying to slash the rear/back of the zoid with his back, and the try to sink his teeth in the back of the Shield Liger's neck.

Drago planted his left paw as he missed causing him to spin around again keeping his right paw in the air he swatted at the incoming command wolf with his right paw using the force of his turn to increase the damage done by it well it worked for me once why not try it again. Drago thought to himself as he looked through the flash back of his match against Pat.

Nathan saw that the Shield Liger, and had to rethink its actions. In light of this, Nathan stopped doing his lunge compleatly and do another stadegy. He was facing straight at the Liger... when he started to charge at it. He was only about 2 Zoid lengths away, but that would soon change. Nathan though was being attentive, and having his hands ready at the controls, while he prepared his reflexes.

[Drago]

Drago watched as the command wolf stopped short of the slash attack. Man I really wish that I didn't use all of my major tricks in the last fight. Oh well I guess that is what adapting strategies is all about. Drago then backed himself up a few steps just so that he would have enough room to react even if the command wolf attacked him at full speed. Drago sat there again with his hands hovering over the controls of the zoid waiting for his opponents next move.

Then, Nathan saw the Shield Liger move back a little, and a smile went on his face. He knew what to do now. He then jumped back a few feet right when he saw the Liger move back a little, and then continued to charge straight at the beast. He had his hands on the controls just waiting to react to the Shield Liger's movements. He was very alert and attentive, and he was also scouting any slight movement in the Shield Liger. Nathan was getting his reflex's intune with his Zoid... he had to hope his new plan will work.

[Drago]

Drago charged at the command wolf like he would have if he still had his shield equipped. Keeping his paws on the ground except during the steps. Drago was ready to maneuver himself out of the way of any attack that might be coming from his sides. Though if the command wolf kept with the straight forward charge the tackle from the liger would probably hit the command wolf with enough force to cause it to come to a dead stop if not knock it back a bit. Should Drago hit the command wolf he is going to use his ligers head as a shovel of sorts to try and knock the command wolf up and hopefully off of its feet.

(OCC: Sorry that it took me awhile to post. I was sick for the last few days)

Then Nathan saw that the Shield Liger started to charge his way. It was obvious that he was mimicing his moves. It seems like his plan was a failure... the Shield Liger was charging his way something that he didn't expect. Then an idea came into Nathan's head. "That might work..." he muttered to himself as he saw the Liger coming closer to the Command Wolf with each stride the two Zoids make. Then when the distance between the two was about about a meter or less away, the Command Wolf would suddenly lunge straight foward at the at the Shield Liger with his right claw extended out. He would then attempt to slash the Shield Liger's entire right side including his right front leg and right back leg.

Then right when the Command Wolf front paws hit the ground which would be about 1 meter behind the Shield Liger, he would slam his right paw down and do a quick turn to face the rear of the Shield Liger. He would then lunge at the at the Shield Liger's rear with his right claw extended again. This time he would attempt to slash the entire left side of the Liger, which included its left rear leg, and left front leg. Nathan had to hope that this would work. Its been a long fight, and yet basically no damage was done to either Zoid. It was a battle of wits... a chess match, but Nathan hoped that he was getting closer to a check mate.

Drago watched as the command wolf lunged at him changing his angle so slightly that the claws would barely graze his left legs armor. Drago then lunged forward with a pounce like maneuver trying to rip out the command wolfs throat with his ligers fangs. If this works then the match will be mine and the worse that happens if we fail is that we crash into each other and my liger gets a small scratch

(OCC: Sorry that I was gone, I had tons of work to do. Since, I did take more than three days to post you can win the battle by default if you like. Also, if we do continue the battle your move wouldn't really work. When I jumped at you I landed behind you, so jumping forward won't really hit me, and I also did another lunge at you that you failed to mention.)

Then Nathan saw the Shield Liger just lunge for his neck, and just tore it apart. "Agh... how could I let my gaurd down" Nathan yelled too himself as he saw the message System Freeze on his Zoid's screen. Then all he heard was the judge yell out "Battle Over... the winner is... Drago...". It was a nice effort by Nathan, but he was up againts a bigger, faster, and stronger Zoid. It was amazing that he lasted that long. "Good match" Nathan said over the speakers.

"Battle over, battle over! The tournament has ended and the winner has been decided. Winner: Drago." yelled the judge, retreating to the capsule. With the battle announced as finished, both Zoids were allowed to leave. Should either of the Zoids be incapable of leaving, assistance for such movement would be provided. All tournament results are non-refundable, so have a nice day.
