He had his first tournament fight, and had been victorious. Smiling a little warmer now, he thought now that he could truly say he did Aegis justice as her pilot, even if he never became as great as Michina.
Looking around the arena once more, the man awaited his second opponent to rise up to the platform’s top and begin the next battle.

Jay was extremely hype. This was going to be his first match in the spring brawl. What made it even more better was the fact that he was going to fight someone who already had a win. He moved onto the stadium and peered at the Shield Liger in front of him. It was heavier and probably had more power,but he was faster and smaller,making him more agile. Jay turned on the commnunication and began to speak."Good Luck,Cause Me and my Leo Blaze aren't ready to lose because your bigger than us...well your zoid is anyway." Jay said while laughing at his own perverted joke before turning the communications off.
He put his hands on his controls and took 2 more steps forward with his liger. They stood and waited for the opponent to make the first move,he knew this was going to be a good match and was ready for it.

Azler watched as the man and his Leo came to the platform and moved towards him. When he commented on his faster speed, Wilder wondered if he knew the aspects of their Zoids, at least until he noticed the boosters on the back legs of the Blaze. Sighing softly, he resisted the urge to roll his eyes. No weapons should have been expanded to “no equipment”, otherwise one could reason that his Liger’s Shield should be allowed as well. It may have been offensive as well as defensive, but one could also reason that boosters were the same thing… Pressing a few buttons on his phone, the speakers within Aegis began blasting. Before I ForgetHowever, contrary to the blasting rock music around him, Azler took the Shield Liger’s controls and made the beast lay down, its legs retracting under itself, reminiscent of a cat, complete with its tail flicking as it seemingly watched the Leo. |

Jay's Liger roared in anger,and strangely,Jay yelled with it. "Hes trying to make fun of us...he wants a piece of us..." Jay was just about to charge at the liger when he caught himself."Wait a minute...he wants me to be blinded with rage.." Jay smiled as he began charging at his opponent "Well its working!!" He said as the liger stayed in a straight course,then all of a sudden he jerked the controls to the left.
The liger moved to the left without warning and jumped in the air, attempting to land on the opponent,if this succeded he would bite into the neck of the liger without warning,hoping to take it down quickly.

Evidently, Jay wasn’t a cat owner.
As he jumped high in the air pounce on the Liger, obviously having to be above the beast in order to land on it, Aegis roared and pushed off with her hind legs like only a cat, or cat-based mecha, could, stretching out its arm and opening its mouth.
Aiming to impact the beast in its stomach, Azler knew that the Leo would be able to dig in its claws rather nicely into its back, but one thing was certain, the Liger was decently armored, and its back was probably the second most armored area, while the Blaze was more defenseless, the sides that Aegis’ claws sought to strip and rip bare would only decently be armored, and the stomach Aegis’ fangs now attempted to disembowel of all its circuitry was most certainly the barest part of the Zoid.
These three strikes, paired with the force of the mid-air tackle, would hopefully, if not full-out likely, end the battle in one move, a far worthy cause for a few claw marks upon its back.
(OOC: Sorry to tell ya mate, I was informed that boosters are NOT allowed in the Brawl Tourney.)

Jay stared blank as he watched the other liger jump up. He wondered what the liger could be planning and quickly realized what he was doing probably was not worth it. He pushed on the controls even harder so that instead of attempting to land on his back he would clash paws. Instead of continuing to push on the claws,he would push back so that he landed backwards,he knew better than to stay on this type of opponent. Jay did not expect his opponent to be so skilled and new this would be tougher than he thought. He got his Leo Blaze back into a ready stance and waited for the opponent to make a strike,changing his style just a little.

Landing just a few meters away from the Blaze after smacking claws, the warrior pulled at his controls as Aegis roared and took off at full speed.
The sapphire beast’s right legs shoved hard at the ground and pushed the Liger to the left, landing on the opposite side of the Leo, roaring as it slashed at his right side, aiming for the shoulder and leg joins to disable the slower and smaller Zoid.

Jay watched as his opponent took off and landed at the opposite side of his Liger. He watched him attempt a slash at his right side,Jay wouldnt have that and pushed his controls to the left,sidestepping away from the attack. As he landed he pushed his liger forward and took off in a straight line. He wanted to create some distance first. He moved in a straight line then turned to the right,curving in a U-Turn Like shape and peered at the shield liger,waiting for its next move.

It barely took a second for the Shield Liger to spiral around and begin chasing the slower Leo Blaze, but as it turned around, the beast opened its side missile pods, spreading out like wings, and moved towards it even faster, aiming to smash the Leo’s head with the left pod.

Jay did not expect this attack and as the shield liger came closer to him with the missle pod from behind he thought fast and jumped in the air,dodging the attack as he skidded to a stop. The leo blaze roared at the opponent.. and began to charge at it turning to the right and attempting to move behind the zoid,if the shield liger began to move the leo blaze would stop in its tracks,and then begin to move again,it would then jump in the air slightly and try to land on the zoids back,and take a bite at the neck.

As the Blaze dodged its trick by dodging, Aegis pulled its pods closed and turned to spot the Leo once more attempting to jump atop the Liger. Roaring, the beast shoved its hind legs off the ground, raising up only on its front paws and kicked out its legs, aiming its hind claws and feet for the Leo’s face, intending to knock it hard and fast away from the larger cat. With the Leo falling towards the beast already in the air, it had no way of dodging the attack. |

Jay was shocked when the liger closed its pod and slammed jays leo blaze. There was no way out of the attack,so he had to. Take it like a man. He was sent a good amount back crashing 4 zoid lenths away from the ledge. "Damn!, I never expected something like that,your good" he said over the speaker to his opponent while he quickly got his leo blaze on its feet,after it landed on its side. It took decent damage from the attack,but the leo blaze quickly shook it off. Jay stared at the opponent with his leo blaze,waiting for his opponent to make another move.

Wilder barely heard the man’s radio over his music. He thought about responding, but realized if he could barely hear the man and he was used to his music level, there was no chance of the guy doing so.
Turning around and looking at the Blaze, Azler smirked slightly. The damage it had dealt was obvious upon the Leo’s head. Hopefully just a bit more…
Gripping the controls, Aegis took off roaring as she stared down the smaller Zoid, rushing towards it with fangs bared.

A smile came across Jay's face as he watched the shield liger rush towards him. He knw right away what to do. He made his liger stay still. As. He watched the liger increase in speed as it came closer and closer towards his Leo Blaze. Then in one swift movement of the controls his liger jumped high in the air,jumping over the shield liger and landing behind it. As thw liger landed it began to curve,making a U-turn in seconds. The Shield Liger was going to run off the ledge and out of bounds if it didn't do something quick.

As soon as the smaller Blaze jumped over the Liger, Aegis turned on its side and ground its four paws into the platform, quickly decelerating itself before shoving off, literally flinging itself at the Blaze and landing hard, roaring as it built up its speed.
Yet right before it got too close, the machine suddenly skidded to a stop in the middle of the ring. Music blared from the cockpit as a soft scoff was heard.
Growling softly the beast took off and began running once more, but…away from the Leo.
Gripping the controls tightly, Aegis began running in a full circle around Jay, at least a full Zoid length between them at any point, circle after circle being made around the man.
