Shadow stepped calmly onto the platform with his lightning Saix. The battle would begin soon, and he was just waiting for his opponent and the Judge. For now he waited about half a zoid length away from the edge of the platform and waited for the start of the match.

Ai stepped onto a platform with her shield liger. She had made it just in time for the battle was about to start. Ai step half a zoid length away from the platform while waiting for the match to start. Ai intended to end this fight with another win. She looked at her opponent, a lightning saix, could be trouble. Ai clenched the controls of her zoid tightly and waited for the judge to arrive and give the signal to begin the fight.

Shadow narrowed his eyes when he saw what his opponent for the battle would be. A Shield Liger... this opponent was more heavily armored than any of his previous opponents. He'd best keep on his toes if he didn't want to lose. He held his position firmly even as the Judge began its speech... "The field of this stadium has become a designated Zoid Battle Field and is now restricted! Only competitors and personnel have authorized entry! Danger all others must leave the area at once! Area scanned! Battle Field set up! Shadow Zeranion versus Ai Otome. Battle mode 0240. Ready? Fight!."
With the judges declaration, Shadow crouched down, prepared to move at a moment's notice. It was time to see what his opponent did. Outside of his Apathy State he was a bit excited at getting into yet another brawl.

As soon as the judge gave the starting signal Ai had her shield liger run at maximum speed. Ai's plan here was to just charge into battle and fight the lightning saix head on. Normally she wouldn't do something so foolish but for this battle mode it was the best plan Ai had. Ai had one advantage, her zoid had more armor then the lightning saix and Ai planned on using that to her advantage. Ai ran towards the lightning saix, activated her strike fangs, and lunged. Her goal for this attack was to hit the lightning saix and deal as much damage as possible. The lightning saix was fast and could most likely react to her movements so Ai kept a close eye on the opposing zoid and watched to see what moves it would make.

Seeing his opponent charge at him, Shadow began to smirk. The Shield Liger was running at him full speed, and would probably attempt to do massive damage in one attack. He kept the Saix in its crouched position as his enemy continued to run at him at top speed. As soon as he saw his opponent put themselves off balance with their lunge, Shadow released the powerful coiled legs of the Saix and sent it in a jump over the charging Shield Liger. With its body extended for the lunge the zoid wouldn't be able to lift its front paws quick enough, nor would it be able to attempt to kill its momentum with a leap or any other form of jump.
Shadow's smirk grew as he touched about 3 zoid lengths from the edge he was standing near before and quickly turned around to see the result of his dodge. He was looking forward to seeing this pilot attempt to stop lunging a 250 km/h Shield Liger from flying over the edge of the stadium only 1/2 a zoid length away. Too bad he couldn't have given the liger a boost when he touched down, but it was moving to fast for him to do anything but jump over it in order to ensure he could dodge it and not be dragged over the edge himself.

((OOC: Ok so I pretty much just slid off the platform which means I lose I guess so congrats to Shadow on another win, unless there is something I can do.))

Shadow watched with a feral grin as his opponent went over the edge of the arena. It looked like his gamble had paid off and given him the victory. Idly he wondered what his opponent had hoped to accomplish with such a reckless tactic, but shook his head. It didn't matter at this point as it was his win. For now he'd go and prepare for his next tournament match. As if to finalize his decision, the judge began to announce, "Battle Over! Battle Over! The winner is... Shadow Zeranion!" He didn't leave yet though. Usually his opponents wanted to speak to him after their matches so he'd wait another minute or so before leaving.
