This is the representative of the Backdraft Group. I'm pleased with both your acceptances of the mission and would like to fill you in on the details of your mission now. The zoid you are looking for is a prototype Buster Fury that we had been experimenting with. Thanks to our experiments we were able to give this Buster Fury a new booster system similar to the one found on the Genobreaker in order to give it better flight capabilities as well as increased speed. As a result, the Buster Fury gained the ability to fire its charged particle cannons in mid-air, a capability we only discovered when it blew a whole in our lab and escaped.
We must admit that we are slightly worried about your ability to capture this zoid with only two others, but you seemed confident and we decided to give you a chance. The Buster Fury has taken shelter in the Ruinous Craig. As stated, your job is to disable the zoid either by destroying its ability to fight or by causing a Command System Freeze. Once you accomplish this, send us a message using the special transponder we've provided each of you with. We wish you luck and hope that you will get us our prototype quickly.
Deep in the Ruinous Craig a lone Buster Fury growled as it wandered in the rugged terrain. Ferally it snorted as it walked past rock after rock, ignoring the ruined village in the distance. It suddenly stopped and became more alert, as if sensing a threat, and growled as it set itself up defensively, looking around for threats.
