Brenner and his zoid ZaberFng trudged through the rocky shadowy terrain of the Ruinous Craig. Brenner smirked, this area was perfect for a zoids battle, he yawned boredly. He had tried to assemble a zoids team himself, but it had never worked out because people kept leaving or never did their part of a bargain or agreement. Brenner sighed, he really wished things would turn around for him.
He suddenly looked down as ZaberFang roared out spontaneously.
" I know your bored Zaber, but we can't do much without a team, or opponents now can we? We'll just have to sit tight and....wait..." Brenner said blandly.
ZaberFang settled into a laying position of sorts so it could be more comfortable, while looking out for potential danger to it or Brenner.

[/b] Muttered Max to himself from within the cockpit of his Shield Liger. The Zoid was striding slowly accross the Ruinous Craig while its pilot kicked back within its head, awaiting for something to turn up. Slightly yawning a bit, he decided to switch over to manual. Gripping the controls and engaging the boosters, the Shield Liger would go from the walking pace and straight into a sprint. During this sprint, Max would spot another Zoid in the craig. Turning the Shield Liger, he would deactivate the boosters so that it would slow down to a stop as it came to the strange Zoid.

"Ey, Zaber dude! Y'lost or somethin'?" Questioned the youth rather bluntly, though still in his usual carefree tone. The boy was quite, hoping to get some form of entertainment out of this encounter.

Brenner looked behind himself, sighting the Shield liger which had a sword on its back. Brenner was utterly confused, who was this person, and how did he get a zoid like that? He had no idea, but for now this person seemed interested in him for now.
" No,I'm merely bored, no one around here is willing to form a zoids team with me and right now ZaberFang and I are just kicking back for a bit." he said blandly.
ZaberFang roared out at the Shield Liger, as if to say hello to the new zoid. " Zaber, we'll advance upwards slowly, we don't know these people after all." he said cautiously.

"Form a Zoids team, eh?" muttered Max, glancing through his Shield Liger's cockpit glass to peer at the Zoid, seeing that it was actually an old Zaber Fang model. The youth would stroke his chin in thought, for he himself already owned a team. Perhaps he could use another member besides Jonny.

"Well, I normally only do official battles, since that's how I get most of my cash, but I guess I could face you. Based on the outcome, I could let you join my team." muttered Max, a slight smirk on his face as he awaited a response from the Zaber Fang pilot. At least he wouldn't be bored.

Brenner looked up at where Max's zoid was, surprised by the answer.
This guy had a zoids team? How fortunate since he was looking for one! Brenner smirked before taking the controls steadily.
" Youv'e got yourself a battle!" he said excitedly.
Brenner breathed in deeply, this person looked good, and if he performed well enough he might land himself the spot in a team.
ZaberFang roared out happily at the Shield Liger, eager to fight.
Brenner pulled ZaberFang away quickly, diving from is spot into the tall empty buildings that made up the ruined village.
" Let's see if you can get me!" he said loudly.

[/b] jeered Max, making the Shield Liger enter a sprint. The Liger would find its boosters engaging once more, but were uneccesary as Shield Ligers were already naturally capable of outrunning a Zaber Fang and Max's Shield Liger was naturally capable of outrunning a normal Shield Liger even without its boosters. The Murasame Blade on its back had tilted to the side, extended outward about nine meters with the intent of cutting the Zaber Fang.

Brenner piloted ZaberFang behind a large building as the blade from the enemy liger sliced through a large metal pole his zoid manured around easily. He concluded that while Max's zoid might be stronger and faster, it was more bulky than his zaber fang. He leaped into a building while firing sporadic cannon fire everywhere, stopping in the middle of a large hallway which looked like it could fit 5 elephanders. ZaberFang roared out at Max's zoid as it backed away, trapped in a corner. Brenner sweated as he stared at the Shield Liger's massive blade, wondering if he could get out of this new mess of his.
" Hold on Zaber." he said worriedly.

Brenner smirked, a shield and booster eh? Standard equipment for a shield liger no doubt, but it would not matter. Suddenly, the weakened support beams he had previously fired at gave away, collapsing around Brenner, giving him a wall of sorts that the Shield Liger would probably run into due to its overspeed, true the shield could partially weaken the damage, but something would be done to it at least. Brenner wondered if perhaps he mightv'e gone a bit overboard with this one, he didn't want his opponent to get crushed or something terrible like that, then again, his opponent seemed tough.

[/b] muttered Max to himself, having expected something revolving around collapsing rubble to be the plan of the Zaber Fang pilot. As the rubble piled, Max would aim the thrusters upward a bit, making it thrust the Shield Liger downwards some. Once its feet reached the ground, the thrusters would disengage, but the Shield remained. Max was tempted to disengage the shield and just scale the mass of rocks, but this would have a much better effect. The Liger would ram the rocks with its Shield, the force causing the rocks to topple over and most likely bury the Zaber Fang. Sure there was recoil, but the result would have been worth it.[/ul][/ul][/sup]

Brenner smirked as he aimed at the tumbling junk heading towards him. Old plasterboard and a couple rocks coming at him? Not much of a problem, he merely blew the debris that fell apart with his laser cannon and shock cannon. He leapt backwards away from the wall that formed in front of him. He needed a plan of some sort plan that would get him out of this mess without harming him. He quickly looked around his area for something to use, and he spotted other cars in there area, they were in a garage of some sort! It all made sense! He aimed his cannons at the cars and shot various blasts at them, making them explode, which ignited cars that lead up to both Brenner and his opponent.
" You may want to cover your ears." he said into his com link right as a large explosion occurred. Brenner leapt backwards, wondering if it would do anything.

Brenner snored peacefully in his zoid, asleep. Zaber would face palm if able to, it seemed that its pilot had fallen asleep due to the explosion he had done. the zoid checked its systems and dashed off. Apparently they had work to do, and that Max was indeed a tough opponent. Brenner soon woke up and rubbed his eyes, confused and wondering what had happened.
