Strengths
1.) Killer instinct. Able to make split-second decisions in battle, usually giving him an edge on the competition.
2.) Axl has average mechanic skills, able to fix minor damage to a zoid with little more than a blow-torch and scrap metal. A necessity while on the road, as a mechanic can be hard to find in the desert etc...
3.) Axl's reflexes, much like many skilled pilots, are uncanny. This allows him to act upon his instincts the moment he feels the need to, helpful when evading enemy fire and taking advantage of an enemy's visible weaknesses.

Appearance: Axl is rather tall, and slim for his height. His body is rather muscled, much like that of a professional sprinter. His facial features are very soft, and his red hair compliments his face with near perfection. His usual red an blue attire was a gift from his mentor, sporting his homeland's national flag.
Personality: Very blunt, usually not afraid to say what's on his mind, despite what others mat think of him afterward. Axl is very confident in himself. This applies to both his piloting and his good looks. At times, especially after a job payout, Axl can be found at a tavern, drinking and starting trouble for usually no reason. Despite these flaws, he tries his best to maintain a code of honour and respect. And no matter what he does or who he kills, he believes there is a reason for his being, a kind of balance that he maintains, and considers himself a good man because of that.
History:
Axl was raised in a beautiful city. Paradise City, a secluded place situated in a valley between two great mountains. For centuries, the city had been unseen by any outsiders. The only entrance to the haven, was a pathway through a cave, which was masked by a waterfall, several kilometres north of the city. Tree tops, cliff side rocks and cliff-faces veiled the city from aerial vision, making it near impossible for anyone to see the city from above.
It wasn't until Axl was 18, that he was finally allowed to venture out of his hometown. Gifted his father's black Command Wolf, Axl was set to begin his own journey. Unsure if he would ever return, he kissed his mother goodbye, gave his father a long, loving hug, and then packed his things.
The journey through the cave (which was the primary exit to his hometown) was a challenge in itself. With the caves being narrow, having little to no light to guide him, piloting a zoid through the treacherous cave proved to be a great deal of work. But Axl wasn't one to complain, especially since this challenging labyrinth of dark cave and deep lakes was what kept his home safe from outsiders. It took days, perhaps longer as Axl began to lose track of time, but he finally saw light. The bright sun was magnificent, much more vibrant and stunning than the light his hometown saw. A big transition, moving from a home barely seeing light, shrouded in a shadow of the surrounding mountainside.......to a great desert with howling winds.
But this was Axl's destiny, to make a name of himself and to bring honor to his hometown. He soon found work, as a bounty hunter in a neighboring town. He found this line of work simple enough, and as long as he followed the honorable code his family-members had taught him, he would be fine, and his conscience would be clear.
This is where Axl's story begins, seeing the outside world for the first time, he will start a lifetime quest. To be the greatest pilot Planet Zi has ever seen.

Description: Handed down from father to son for generations, Axl is the current pilot of this old Zoid. Seeing as it has never been used in battle, it's functions are running efficiently without any errors. It is jet-black, with tints of grey. (The reason behind this color scheme has been long forgotten, but Axl's father guessed it was personal preference and with no real meaning.) The Command Wolf's speed has been increased, due to the removal of it's primary weapon, and it's melee attacks are somewhat superior to the standard Command Wolf's.
