Today was the first match of the Inauguration tournament and Vaan was up against somebody named Nat Vargas. The funny thing was both pilots were using command wolfs for this fight. Vaan’s command wolf had been upgraded from the regular version; it had extra speed, maneuverability, and extra weapons. Vaan made his way to the tournament area and stood on an elevator. The elevator brought Vaan up into the tournament area.
The tournament was taking place inside the vast Battle Dome Arena, surrounded by crowds. It is a medium-range space inside of the arena, with four large columns providing cover. Vaan wouldn’t be able to use the environment to his advantage since his opponent was piloting the same kind of zoid so Vaan would have to rely on his natural abilities as a pilot, his upgraded command wolf, and prayers. Vaan had lost every fight so far but he planned for that to end today. Vaan liked this kind of arena and took a moment to admire its beauty. After a minute Vaan got tired of looking around and focused on where his opponent would come out.
Vaan waited patiently for his opponent to arrive so the battle could get underway. Two command wolfs going up against each other. One pilot’s skills versus another, what fight could be better? Vaan gripped his controls tightly, so tightly his knuckles turned white. Vaan’s adrenaline was pumping and his blood was flowing. This fight would promise to be a good one.
