Zoid: The GenoBat

Status: Upgrade/Custom/

Rank: Starting Rank F - Destination Rank should be C.

Description: The Genobat Evolution is an attempt to make the Zabat a serious contender for the Middle Ranks. The Genobat is truly a unique Zoid, because it's so much different. This modification was to dispute an issue that had been brought up about one of my older Zoids and when it decided to Ram with an Energy Shield. Someone did something broken and wrong.

Weapons:

Hyper Killer Claws (2) - Replaced with Hyper Cutter Claws - Razor Sharp and Lighter, reinforced to not break off with high speed attack. No energy Required.
Homing Bomb (2 Launchers/Zoid) - Removed
145mm Laser Gun (2) - Replaced with AP 145MM Single Barrel Vulcan Cannon (2) - Even, no difference. 2 Guns for 2 Guns.

Equipment:

Doppler Radar (2) - Removed. Radar is now stock.
Magnesser Wings - Stock
Infrared Scope - Replaced with Low Power Radiation Scope - Where there is a lack of picture (white spot) return is where a Zoid is.

Upgrades: (Overall)

Replaced Infared Scope with Low Power Radiation Scope
Hyper Energy Shield (Same as the Gojulas Giga's. Makes up for lost weapons, and half the upgrade to D.)
One set of two Missile Pods. High Speed, made for Supersonic. W/ Ammo

Statistics Upgrades:

3 Speed Upgrades (Instead of Armor, Speed, Stealth every time, going for just Speed. - Makes the Zoid quite Agile and Extremely Fast)
3 Armor Upgrades (Instead of Armor, Speed, Stealth every time, going for just Armor. - Makes the Zoid quite fortified.)

6 Total Statistics Upgrades = -.25 (Radar Loss) + 1.0 Ranks + Missiles .75) = 1.50 Ranks + Double E-Shield = +2.50 Ranks

Result Rank: C&.50 = Mid C Ranked Zoid

Offense: Long Range, all it has is it's guns, missles, and it's speed for weapons.

Defense: Speed. Nuff Said.

Strategy: Cautious. Because there's always an opportunity..

One of the most thorough custom zoid apps I've seen. I'll give it a C, with a few notes.

1.) The shield is a standard energy shield, if you only want a half rank boost. Not hyper like the Gojulas Giga. I think that's way more powerful.

2.) You already used the deficit given by removing those weapons to pay for the other upgrades, including speed. So it doesn't give an additional speed upgrade on its own. The removal of that weight is made up for in the shield addition weight most likely for the claws, and bombs go to missiles.

Other than that, go ahead and take C.

How much would the Hyper Upgrade be counted as, Trot? I can do the math...

It's a more powerful shield, so double the shield. Like the power you'd have giving a Shield Liger a shield upgrade. That's an entire rank for that one shield.

Alright. If we count the stripping of the heavier claws, Removal of the Doppler Radars for the Normal Radar, and Removal of the Homing Bombs about Half a Rank worth of equipment, then that makes it F - 1/2 in subtraction. Adding the Hyper Shield would make it F+1/2

Let's count the Missle Pods as 1/2 a Rank. This would make it D.

Now, half of a normal rank upgrade is 3 Upgrade Stats (Speed, Stealth, Armor)

We have 9 to upgrade, which is a Rank and a Half (5 Speed, 4 Armor)

This should be 1 and 1/2 Ranks, which would bump a D Flat Zoid up to C and 1/2, would it not?

Okay, step by step time.

Gun change - no rank change. Vulcans fire more, but are weaker per shot. Net damage same.

Missiles for bombs and claws - no rank change. Misslies more guided than bombs, but loss of claws makes up for it.

Radar decrease - Not a big deal. -0.25 a rank for that. Now at F -0.25

9 stat increases - 1.5 rank increase total, so we're at D +0.25 total.

Two shield upgrades, to get powerful shield - 1 rank increase, so C + 0.25 total.

I was thrown off by your initial math. You put yourself at C + .5 with just a half boost for shield, so I figured another half boost would put you at B.

I'm approving you for C, but I'm exhausted XD I'll take a look again later to make sure.

NOTE: For your stats, don't get too carried away. You have a lot of speed and armor boosts, but a lot of a little is still not very much. A standard 1-rank upgrade is an equipment and a "slight boost" to each category. So 4 "slight boosts" is still just a moderate boost. Happy gunning, flyboy.
