OBTAINING A ZOID
Getting a zoid is easy. You start out with one, and you can RP getting it any way you like: buying, finding, earning, etc. You are restricted on the kind of zoid you can have, though, by the rank you are currently at. The rules for these are listed below.
- You may pick any zoid from your current rank without worry or change.
- You may pick a zoid from one rank above your own, but your character will not be able to handle it properly. Thus, it will have the equivalent capabilities of a zoid one rank below your own. (Example: A C-ranked warrior chooses a Dibison as their zoid. Since it is a B-rank zoid, it will have the power of a D-rank zoid with the pilot.)
- If you are using a zoid from a class lower than your own, you can have it upgraded. An upgraded zoid will have general all around better armor, speed, etc. It will also jump up one rank in power. In addition, it may be supplied with one of the following items from below:
- E Shield
- Boosters
- Smoke
- Land Mines
*If your zoid already has one item from above, such as a shield, picking that item a second time will just double the strength of the original.
NOTE: Zoids with Charged Particle Cannons will not have those default. They have to be bought from the shop.
CUSTOM ZOIDS
If you are using a customized zoid, then you have to follow certain guidelines before you can use it. There are three kinds of customized zoids.
RECOLORED ZOIDS
Nothing is changed on these zoids except their appearance. In this case, all you need to do is make a note in your profile stating that. If it has increased capabilities in addition to a different color, see below.
MODIFIED ZOIDS
These require more than just a note in your profile. All you need to do is post a thread with the specifications of your zoid and what it can do, in addition to the sprite, in the Staff Support area. From there, one of our trusted staff will place a ranking on your zoid. If it is not the rank you desire, you can modify the stats until you get one you like.
CUSTOM ZOIDS
These are zoids not based off existing zoids, but ones that have been created entirely from scratch. Despite that, though, the process is exactly the same for that of modified zoids. Please read the above directions.
IMAGE RULES
We have a large variety of zoids sprites that are integrated onto this forum. While you do not have to use these, it is strongly recommended, as finding other sprites of your own is difficult. We do have certain requirements though.
A sprite of your zoid must be displayed in at least one of the 3 following places:
- Avatar
- Mini-Profile Background (The image may not be hidden by text)
- Signature
As well, you are also required to have a link to your character bio somewhere in your signature. A common method is to have the picture of your zoid in your signature and link it to the bio. The code for that is below.

With regards to custom zoids, sprites are still required. They must look good as well, otherwise they may not be approved. If you have no artistic skills, hire an artist, or "mechanic" to do it for you.
ARTIST/MECHANIC RULES
This site relies a lot on sprites. Artists who are good at editing/manipulating these sprites will find they can deal a lot of business. Since they are basically repainting/modifying/changing zoids, they can be considered mechanics when In Character, on the forum itself.
In the main city, there is a subboard for all mechanics to post a thread advertising their services. They can request any prices they want. If they charge too much, though, or are not skilled enough, they may not find any buyers. The competition will hopefully keep prices low for those who are looking to get customized zoids.
Each artist should have a "Queue" somewhere on their page. Here, they will list all the transactions made, such as taking 15 posts from member A's account and adding it to member B's. When a moderator does these, they will have the queue cleared.
