Appearance:
Standing at a height of five foot seven, Max is somewhat average in height for a male his age. His weight is no abnormality either, grossing a total of about one-hundred and twenty-five pounds. Max's skin tone holds a pleasant tan color to it, a tan he gained from his childhood of living on an island. What used to be smooth, clear skin holds a few bruises and scars from his previous fights. Some of them just came from reckless acts as a kid. Most of them have healed and faded to the point that they can barely be seen.
While little of the said markings inhabit his face and torso, the majority of them can be found along his arms and legs. The youth's body is quite fit for one his age, for he spent most of his free time during his childhood being physically active. While not much larger than others his age in muscle mass, he has built what would be compared to a swimmer's physique. Max has blue colored hair that seems to be a shade of cyan when light is shone on it. His hair is usually untidy and unkempt, but that's just how he normally prefers it.
Strands of hair that loom over the front of his face never fall below his forehead, while the back of his hair can sometimes fall to the back of his neck, sometimes passing his shoulders. His untamed hair is rarely contained in a hat or headgear, preferring to keep itself free. His eyes are a paler color than his hair, a green color of sorts. In fairly decent lighting, one could tell that his eyes are a turquoise color.
Looking into his eyes, an individual can sometimes tell how he's feeling, be it sadistic, happy or just plain indifferent. He has a straight nose, positiond firmly in the center of his face. It is considered a normal and plain nose, like that of most other people. His ears are just as plain as his nose and, surprisingly, he has two of them. Yes, both of his ears are still attached to his head and, despite normally being buried beneath his hair, they manage to detect sounds rather nicely.
His lips are thin, perking up to normally form a smirk or grin of sorts, a common feature one would notice on the youth if they interacted with him daily. The smirk and grin are mere physical displays of the boy's never-ceasing determination. His chin slants inward, curving at the bottom shape his faith into the youthful form it dons now. His eyebrows are thin and light with the color of his hair, while his eyelashes are a bit longer than most males of his age.
Personality: Max's one whose personality cannot be described by any single word, for it is loaded with many traits and characteristics. One of those characteristics being a very calm and, seemingly, lazy demeanor. It is not like the kind of lazy one would see in a sloth, but more close in term and definition to the adjective "docile." Outside of battle, he does not do anything that someone high in energy would do. This is just because he prefers the quiet and gentle approach of life and also the peaceful aspect of being a Shinobi, an aspect not many of them are able to find within themselves. But that doesn't mean he isn't a hard worker. When he applies himself to something and his will is strong, one could say that he would be able to accomplish whatever he wanted to.
Max is known to be quite independent, especially when things fall into the category of being life-threateningly dangerous. This is because he hates putting others in danger, not liking it when people suffer because of him. He is also quite courageous. Some say a person can be so courageous that they're either brave, or just stupid. However, Max knows when he can't handle something and when to stop before it's too late. That, however, doesn't mean he won't try. If he fails at something, he feels he should at least be able to say he tried his best. He can also be quite confident at times, but not to a boastful scale. He's just high in self-esteem, not highly conceited.
He is certainly not the type of person who wouldn't know when or how to get serious. Actually, some wouldn't even notice when he becomes serious, due to the carefree glow in his eyes and how his personality seems the same. No glares or angry tone. In fact, the most one could expect is just serious words. Despite his seeming inability to be serious, Max actually does possess a great sense of respect. In fact, he has a strong belief that just because you respect someone doesn't exactly mean that you have to like them. However, he doesn't just respect those above him in strength and rank. Max also holds a sense of respect for those who are beneath him in strength or status.
Some believe it's just because of his great favor in the underdogs. However, just because he believes you don't have to like someone to respect them doesn't mean he dislikes all who he respects. He admires those whom he believes to be loyal and virtuous, such as his clan leader. With a sense of respect such as his also comes a highly potent sense of honor and valor. His mindset is that the valiant and admirable are worthy of honor. This can be shown in combat, where he will bow to acknowledge someone's strength in combat. Whether they lose or not, should they fight valiantly then he will find them honorable. He also finds those who fight to protect their beliefs and their loved ones to be honorable as well.
History: Farsa Island is where Max was born, his proud parents being Zan and Irene Shephard. His father, Zan, was a Zoids Warrior who owned a company that repaired Zoids and sold Zoids parts. The company was called "BlazeCorps" and the ownership was joint with a man known as Anthony Blades, and old friend of Zan's. Irene had her own profession, for she was a Zoid researcher who studied many aspects of Zoids and Zoids legends but couldn’t pilot them well.
His older brother, Trey, was quite apt in dealing with business, making him the perfect successor to BlazeCorps. This didn't bother Max, who inherited his father's Zoids piloting skills rather than business skills. What both brothers inherited from their father was an aptitude for bonding with Zoids as well as decent skills as a Zoids mechanic.
Max's favorite Zoid was a Shield Liger he found on the island that he brought home and repaired together with his father. He named the Zoid "Nike" and his family decided to just go with it. Max's childhood was normally spent going to ruins that existed around Farsa Island in his Shield Liger. Well, he dubbed it his since he felt it likes him the most. He would sometimes stay at home to help his father repair Zoids, and sometimes he would find himself accompanied by his mother to go see ruins that he told her stories about.
Indeed Max was a special youth. The village he and his family lived in was a typical Farsa Island village, with people who weren't particularly fans of Zoids Warriors. However, they had no problem with Max, who was aspiring to be a Zoids Warrior. This was because of how Max treated his Zoid, treating it as a comrade and not just a weapon to fight with.
In fact, most could see that he treated all Zoids like the living beings they were. Aside such, he didn't use his piloting skills to go attack wild Zoids, but instead to defend the village from wild Zoid attacks. They also knew how pure hearted Max was, and hoped that if he did go on to be a Zoids Warrior that he wouldn't forget his morals and still be pure of heart like he had always been, though they hoped he wouldn't be too naive in the tough life of a Zoids Warrior.
In his youth, he tried to prepare himself for his planned future as a Zoids pilot. He made sure to learn as much as he could from his father in the mechanics of Zoids so that he could repair his Shield Liger any time it was damaged. Another precaution taken by the youth was getting tips from his brother on selling things incase he found himself short on money.
When Max became fourteen, he decided it was time to break away from the peaceful life on Farsa Island. He also decided that it was time to pursuit his dream of become a great Zoids warrior, and his parents supported his dream. They let him take the Shield Liger and wished him the best on his journey. At the age of fifteen he has been roaming the continent for a year.
He now continues his journey, seeking to become one of the greatest Zoids Warriors in the business. Even so, he still finds time to go visit his friends and family on Farsa Island, bringing them the peace of mind knowing that he's alright and also giving them tales of his adventures as a Zoids Warrior. He still pilots his Liger, which he said he wouldn't trade in for the world.
Zoid: Blade Liger Status: Custom. Rank: B Description: The Blade Liger is a Liger (Ligers are a Lion and Tiger mix) type Zoid.
While the Shield Liger's capabilities were solid for its day, the Blade Liger improves upon them, being faster and more agile than its predecessor. It also gains new weaponry, the most noticeable being a pair of laser-edged blades capable of cutting through all but the densest of enemy armor. Its energy shield is enhanced with the addition of four cooling units located in the white "fins" of its shoulder armor. Like the Shield Liger, it sports a shock cannon, and the Pulse Laser Guns found on the blunt sides of the blades add to the Zoid's limited ranged-combat ability.
This Blade Liger was made using Max's Shield Liger as a base. However, the Shield Liger's core has yet to adjust to its new form. Thus it can't power the Zoid's weaponry to its fullest yet. In its current state, the Laser Blades have been reduced to the strength of a Saber Lion's HiFriction Blades, and it can't even use its Pulse Laser Guns. Also, the coolant system has yet to be configured, so the Blade Liger's shield suffers a decrease in performance because of it.
Offense: Close Range
Defense: Speed
Strategy: Reckless

Approved.
Just change the image and name to the "Houndsoldier (Bare)" model in the B section of the zoids list. I just put it up. It has all weapons removed except the 3 barreled chest gun and one forward-facing missile launcher.
