Desert Storm Team Base

[Nathan Drake]

Nathan drove the Hover Cargo into his base area. He unloaded all the precious cargo he had just bought into his hanger. It was the Zabat, Gun Tiger, Atak Cat, and the Guysak he had just recently bought. "These Zoids are not much now... but with a little hard work and determination they would be great zoids" he said with a big grin. All these Zoids needed were a few upgrades and they would be considered C-Rank zoids, not the D rank and even F rank zoids they are now.

Nathan then went over to his table and pulled out some part designs. "Now it is time to find out what I should put in each Zoid" he said with a smile. First up was the Guysak. According to Nathan's specs Guysaks were a reativly weak Zoid and doesn't have very good weapons. Its Anti-Zoid 30 mm Laser Rifle, is its strongest weapon and even that is not very strong. Though, it has some very powerful pinchers and if it gets close to a foe they would be destroyed in an instant, but there was one downside to that... Guysaks were one of the slowest Zoids alive.

So it was either upgrade its weapons... or its speed. Putting busters on that scorpion zoid would be relativly useless since it has 6 legs, so the only option seemed to increase its fire power, but Nathan didn't want to lose the viable options of the claws, and that its armor was relativly weak. Then Nathan got a great idea. Maybe... I equip it with an energy shield... no two so its twice as powerful. He then looked over energy shields designs and they could be routed onto a Guysak.

Nathan then went into his factory and produced two E-Shields. He swiftly brought them into the hanger with a box car, and placed them by the Guysak. He then put them onto the raising platform, and went up right underneath the Scorpion Zoid. He opened it up from underneath, and placed the E-Shields inside. He then carefully routed the wires from the E-Shield into the Guysaks generator program. "This Zoid is going to be a tank" Nathan said with a cheerful smile as he was done routing the wires into the zoid... the energy shield was succesfully installed into the Zoid.

Then he went back to the drawing board. He needed to upgrade his Zabat. This flying zoid really intrigued the mechanic, because even though it was a F rank zoid it was faster and more agile then the Flying zoids that are C rank and D rank. It also has very good weapons like homing missiles... this thing was a steal. The only downside is in one hit the thing is dead, so defense was something to improve on. Nathan first thought about using stronger metal, but that would drastically slow down its speed and agility, so he is going to install a Energy Shield in that one two.

He grabbed an energy shield he had recently made and put it on the raising platform. He then raised the platform up towards the Zabat, and opened up the bottom of the bat. He slowly placed the E-Shield inside of it and connect its wires towards the bat's generator. "Yeah... this one is almost done upgrading" he said with a smile as he went back down to the ground. He then went back to the plans. "Alright... one more thing to upgrade this thing with" he said as he bit his lower lip. "What are Zabats used for... Kamikazis... recon... spying..." the last two words just hit him like a load of bricks he now knew exactly what to put on the Zoid.

He then pulled out an Optic Camouflage system. "This would make this thing impossible to see with the human eye" he said with a smile. He then ran over to the raising platform with the Optic Camouflage system. He slowly raised it up to the zoid, and placed it inside of it. He carefully connected the wires towards the generator and gave it a little spark too. "This thing will be the best aerial zoid that any team has" he said with a large grin on his face as he slowly went back to ground level.

Nathan then went back to his desk one more time. This time looking over the all so stealthy HelCat's specs. This thing was the stealthist zoid ever made... it just needs to be invisible too radar as well. He then went over to his factory and grabbed some Radar Distrupter. He then ran over to the Helcat, and raised the platform to its stomach. He then attached the wires from the distrupter to the generator of the Helcat. This thing was now pratically invisible.

Nathan then had one more thing to pimp out. His Gun Tiger. He knew what to put on this baby... a shield to make it better than a shield liger. He then grabbed an E-Shield and raised it up to the Gun Tiger. He then routed the wires from the E-Shield to the generator. He was done pimping out his Gun Tiger. Now all he had to do was to explore the world. He went back to the ground level and wipped off all the muck from him. He entered his Command Wolf and ran off into the distance.

Nathan returned Command Wolf too the hagner of the base and did the necessary repairs to it. "There... good as new" he said with a smile on his face. But he then realized if he wants the upgrades to his other Zoids he would have to sell something to get some extra cash. "Well... I doubt my team will be using a Hover Cargo right now..." he said with a grin.

He then got into the Hover Cargo and drove it all the way towards the shop. He was hoping to sell this bad boy so he can afford his upgrades.

Nathan slowly walked into the team base. "Phew... that was a long walk" he said as he jumped down onto a nearby coach and relaxed for a bit. "Lets see whats on T.V" he mumbled to himself as he turned on the T.V. The show was Pimp out my Zoid, and it was featuring a dull Rev Raptor... Nathan was wondering how would they pimp out this zoid out.

They added a nice paint job too it, and gave it cliche hot rod flames. They then added some fancy boosters on the Rev Raptor to make it roar like a true dino. Finally, they gave it a wax job, and installed hydrolics. That thing was truely pimped out... but probably not pimped out for battle like Nathan did with his Zoids. If Nathan was the pimping guy... he would add boosters and wings onto that bad boy, so it could fly and touch the sky. Or he will put tons of blades on the thing to slice through any foe, and then give it some blade launchers to shoot blades at the enemy. Now that was a pimped out Rev Raptor.

[Rui Zeal]

Evoflyer ran along the sands towards nowhere in particular, coming up with a name for herself with her pilot, Rui. She was using text to communicate. Rui had yet to come up with a name; 'Well lets hear you come up with a name.' "How about...Ciel?" 'I like it...what does it mean?' "It's French for 'Sky'." 'Ok then, my name is now 'Ciel'.'

Well, one problem solved. Rui thought. A large construct loomed on the horizon, a grouping of buildings that seemed to be a base of some sort. She stopped outside the perimeter and wondered just who lived here, there didn't seem to be anyone there at the time, nor did there seem to be many people living there.

Nathan then went outside to test out his new Gun Tiger. He needed pratice for the upcoming tournament that he registered with it. "Maybe that wasn't my smartest idea... fighting a tournament with a zoid that I've never piloted before" he said with a slight sigh. Right when he stepped outside he noticed a girl... and an Evoflyer on the outskirts of the base.

"Hmm... I wonder who that can be" Nathan mumbled to himself. "Hi there..." the boy yelled out to the two. "My name is Nathan and I'm leader of this Team" he said with a big grin on his face. His team surely had grown sinced he had founded it... but there was still one problem... he was the only member.

[Rui Zeal]

"Hi there...""Hm..?"Rui looked over at the source of the sound, it was a blond-haired kid, the first soul she had seen in ages. I wonder who... Rui's thought was interrupted by her question being answered before she could finish even thinking the question. Rui scrabbled down to the sands from her perch on Ciel's neck; she didn't like yelling, hurt her throat. "Ohayo, Nathan-san," she said when she was done, "I'm Rui, Rui Zeal. Where's the rest of the team? You're the first person I've seen the whole time I've been here." Ciel looked down at Nathan, also curious as to where the rest of the 'team' was.

The black haired girl revealed her name to be Rui... Rui Zeal. Then he heard the rest of her sentence... she wanted to know where the rest of the team was. "Well... about that... there is no other members... I'm the founder of this team and we just got up and running this week" he said with a large cheeky grin on his face while he was scratching the back of his head. "But I'm doing pretty good... the record for my team right now is 1 wins, zero losses, and zero ties" he said with a smile.

"So... what is a pretty girl like you doing out here" he asked. "I mean... you don't look much of a Zoid pilot or bandit, yet you have that Evoflyer next to you." he said. "Well if you were a bandit you would of already attacked me... which you didn't, and there it is very plausibal that you are a mercenary or a pilot because you have a zoid... if you are a pilot than you probably don't have a team because your alone right now" he said.

[Rui Zeal]

Rui didn't react much when Nathan called her pretty, on the outside at least. After he finished talking, Rui spoke up, "That's right, I'm a mercenary at the moment, though my life's been rather uneventful lately." The silence that followed that statement seemed to stretch much longer than it actually did. "Oi, I've got an idea, you need teammates, and I need a team, so why don't I join yours?" Rui said with a grin on her face. Today was turning out to be a rather good day.

"I'm a fairly good mechanic, and a great scavenger. Plus I can cook more than just cuppa noodles." Rui waited a second, then... "So whadda say?"

[Nathan Drake]

"Sounds good... I'm a superb mechanic myself" he said with a grin. "I do need members for my team, especially if we want to be one of the best" he said with a grin. "Its also a good thing that you can cook... I can't cook anything for the life of me" he said with a smile. "So... welcome aboard Rui... your the first member to join Team Desert Storm" he said with a grin. "Come on... you probably need to see were you would be staying and the Zoids we have" he said as he ran off towards the hanger.

He then opened the doors of the hanger to reveal five zoids. There was a Command Wolf, Gun Tiger, Hel Cat, Zabat, and a Guysak in their. "The Command Wolf is mine, so I don't really want you to use it but the other zoids you can use any time you want. They are also upgraded so they are much stronger than they look. Gun Tiger has an Energy Shield... Hel Cat has a radar distrupter... Zabat has Optic Camouflage and an Energy Shield... while Guysak has two energy shields making one that is twice as powerful" he said with a large grin.

[Rui Zeal]

Come on... you probably need to see were you would be staying and the Zoids we have."Rui followed Nathan into the hanger, followed closely by Ciel, who could move freely on her own, just couldn't fight well. Rui looked up at the zoids, somewhat impressed, Ciel wasn't impressed however. Rui looked up at her zoid, "Looks like these are gonna be your bunk mates for a while Ciel." Ciel made up her mind to ask Rui later about Fury and Kuro. "Thanks for the offer, but I prefer to pilot my own zoids. And Ciel is my only working zoid right now."

[Nathan Drake]

"Very well... that is basically me and my Command Wolf" he said with a grin. "But depending on the environment we are fighting on I might change up my Zoid every once and awhile" he said. He then ran out of the hanger back to the barracks. "This is where you would be staying" as he pointed to a small building. "It is a pretty good building that can hold 5 people in rather good condition... though it is no five star hotel" Nathan said with a laugh.

[Rui Zeal]

Rui gave a knowing little smile, "It's better than where I've been living up until now, Whale Kings are good for troop transport, but they're no place to live for extended periods." she said, walking out to where Nathan was. "If I'm going to live here, I'm going to need to go back and get my things. I shouldn't be more than 30 minutes or so." Rui jogged back to Ciel and climbed, much like a monkey, up her leg and into the cockpit on her back. Ciel transformed into her flight form with a sound effect much like the one from that old Transformers TV show, and was soon gone.

After just twenty minutes, Rui was back with all of her belongings, a whole duffel bag's worth. Piloting Ciel though the gate, Rui said, somewhat mockingly, "Honey, I'm hoooome!" Rui climbed down and headed for the Barracks.

"Alright..." he said with a smile as he saw the girl run out to get her stuff. Nathan had to get ready for the next battle he was going to be in... he heard it was going to be a Zaber Fang. Then about 20 minutes later he just heard a yell saying "Honey... I'm hoome". It was of course Riu and her Evoflyer. "Ahh... I missed you... now where's my kiss honey" he said jokingly while pushing his cheek foward.

[Rui Zeal]

Rui smirked and pulled a bag of hersey's kisses from the glove box(which actually did hide a pair of gloves) and climbed like a monkey down from the cockpit. "Here," she said, tossing the bag over to her new teammate, "A month supply, free of charge." Rui slung the duffel over her shoulder and headed to the barracks.

When she got there, she selected one of the unoccupied rooms, on the second floor, and began to unpack. Shortly there after, she hung a wooden sign with her name on the outside of the door, so that people wouldn't enter her room accidentally.

[Iyoku]

Iyoku would make his way through the town, and due to not living anywhere near the area he was forced to keep his Zoid in a temporary garage. This wouldn't work forever though, eventually the costs of such storage would catch up to him if he stored his Zoid often. He had a plan though, the idea was to convince a Zoid team to accept him so he'd not only have a free place to store his Stealth Viper but also would have an increased opportunity to join in on Zoid battles and missions.

After putting his Zoid in it's temporary storage Iyoku asked the worker there where the nearest Zoid base was, it just so happened to be that this was the closest Zoid base to the garage. Iyoku would walk in through the front door, but rather than search for someone he'd simply stand within the front room for a while; eventually someone from the base would notice him and would be inclined to talk to Iyoku.
