In the middle of the plains, an area that probably would have been impossible to find by memory alone, stood four Elephanders and five Iron Kongs around in a circle, the elephant Zoids pointed outwards, the gorillas looking inwards.
As the Infiltration Team, Dragul Yaiba within a Shield Liger, Caleb Haus within a Gun Tiger, and Rui Zeal within an Evo Flyer, approached the group, they split slightly and allowed the trio to move past, spying an opening in the ground, obviously blasted.
A message from a ZBC Pilot in one of the Zoids around them would once more inform them of their mission; 100TP each if they discovered a larger entrance to the storage, an additional 50 if they discover what the terrorists came back for, and yet another 50 if they should retrieve it. Along with this information came detailed descriptions of each of their Zoids, allowing the group to know exactly what each other was capable of as to coordinate their movements closely.
As the Team moved within the bunker, they would discover that only the emergency lights were on, giving the halls a dark red glow that barely made anything visible, and even then, many of them were broken, leaving dark patches in the halls. For now, it appeared that their only path was straight ahead, leading into the darkā¦

Drago wandered at the lead of the group so that should anything pop up the rest of the group could hide behind his shield. As they traveled through the dark tunnels Drago kept his eyes pointing forward so that if the enemy should come from the front he would be ready. He held his finger just above the switch to control his shield as he opened up a com-link with the rest of the team. Hey guys can you keep your eyes peeled to the sides or while I focus on the front.
Drago waited to hear a response from them keeping his liger going forward at a steady pace his finger still hovering over the shield button. Drago took a quick look to his sides there was enough room for his liger but not enough for him to deploy his missle pods. Drago then looked up there would be barely enough of a clearing for him to deploy the Beam Cannons hidden in its back. Man if we run into anything then I will have to rely on my shock cannons. shield, and fangs

There had been a slight change of plans - he was supposed to be here in a Gun Tiger. But due to the immense damage to his first zoid - and the discovery of a new one - he was outfitted in what was only known as a Glow Fox. There was a severe chance he was going to be moving quickly - his Zoid was pretty fast, and it had a Strike Laser Claw system. It was mostly unfortunate, though, that he was not equipped with any medium to long range weapons. Hopefully, that part would be easy.
He'd just met the two other players in this infiltration mission, and he was rather interested to see how well they'd work together. An Evo Flier was not a zoid he'd ever encountered before, and so it would be nice to learn just how it worked. Narrowing his eyes, he kept the zoid moving as quietly as a large metal fox could.
"I have the right side." He said, softly, his voice quiet. In these types of quarters, his close-combat experience would come in very handy... but he would not be able to get someone that was running away. Not without chasing them down, and that seemed like a very, very bad idea.
"With these lights, it'll be difficult to tell when something is approaching. I'd rely more on sound..." He added after a moment of contemplation. Well, this would certainly be...
dangerous.

The soft shifting of the desert sands were all that told of the third zoid in the group. A modified Helcat slowly walked with the other two zoids, glideing like a wraith, not even showing up on radar. The Helcat's radar, however, was remarkibly advanced for when the zoids was built, in the early years of the Heliac-Zennibas War. Rui had decided to use the panther zoid instead of her Evoflyer due to it's greater stealth ability. Just before entering the Base, Rui got out and refilled the Helcat's fuel tank, helping to offset the problem of the zoid's small range.
"Gotcha bossman." She said over the comlink after climbing back into the cockpit, "I'll take left. By the way, I suggest we maintain radio silence whenever possible." She added, taking up a spot behind and to the left of the self appointed leader's Shield Liger, the seven o'clock position. Rui powered down the weapons and the cabin lights, leaving only the radio and radar on, and setting the stealth and radar disrupter to stand-by. Rui listened carefully, rotating frequencies to try and pick of any messages being broadcast within the confines of the base.

Drago continued walking through small passage way's looking for any form of info coming in from the front like a turn or a large room or something that would some up what would some up what they were looking for. Man I hate this okay Infrared sensors is added to the list of parts to hook up to my zoid right after a set of Ion Boosters Drago thought to himself as he kept his eyes peeled. Drago shut off the lights in his cockpit to help his eyes adjust to the darkness of the cavern. Sure enough after about 4 steps of his Liger his eyes had adjusted to the light of the hall there still wasn't enough for him to make out exact shapes in this seemingly endless hall but now he at least could see things as long as they move they were nothing more than moving shadows to him which is a good thing for the fact that his allies were behind him right now.

A large sign with the words "This is what you're looking for" was probably too much to ask for. That was not a major issue, as much as he would like to say it was. He could come up with some form of plan - after all, he was a professional thief. This was something he was good at. Infiltration, espionage... and theft. All of them were things he was well versed in.
Leaning forward, he thought for a moment. Radio silence was a nice way of saying shut up, perhaps. But it was true. Radio frequencies could get picked up. Narrowing his eyes, he wished, for a moment, the term 'Glow Fox' meant a literal glow. As stupid as it would be, it would make things so much easier. "Be careful, Drago."

As the trio of Zoids moved down the chamber, suddenly up ahead a loud thumping was heard; sounds of a Zoid running. With every step they took, they got closer to it, but soon enough, a choice was presented to them as the hallway they ventured down opened up, revealing three paths; straight, left, or right.
With the sounds of a Zoid running emanating from dead ahead, who knew what it was doing, if it was approaching or moving away, or perhaps taking an entirely different route? They would have to choose and choose quickly.

After a while of walking, Rui saw a path off to the left with a bright neon arrow pointing toward it saying 'This way stupid'. Rui surmarily decided she needed to get more sleep and cut back on the coffee.
Rui pulled the Helcat to a stop when they reached the fork, "Well I suppose a straight line to the goal would be too much to ask. She paused for a moment to let the others chime in, when no one did, she asked "so which way do we go boss-man?" Before anyone had time to respond, the lone female on the team added "And don't even bother suggesting we split up, we are not going to split up."

(OoC: IiC period exeeded, continueing with mission)
As neither Calib nor Drago had responded in any way, Rui decided to pick on her own. The Helcat's sensors picked up a sound coming from one of the tunnels. "Well if you two are going to ignore me, then I'll pick myself." Deciding to start on the left, she used the Helcat's paw to make a small mark at the entrance of the passage they just came from and the one she was now entering. "Just try to keep up." Rui ordered to her supposed leader as well as Calib. She had no way of knowing whether this was the way to the sound or not, but she had a better chance of finding out this way as opposed to staying back at the cross roads.
She and the Helcat broke into a trot, then into a run, trying to chase down the source of the sound, and keeping the sensors on high alert. It didn't seem that the sound was getting any closer, but it also didn't appear to be moving any farther away. And if it turned out to be a big zoid, Rui only hoped that Calib and Drago were keeping up.

Since their leader seemed to have broken in to some form of reverie. That was fine - as far as Caleb was concerned. Eyes narrowing a little, he saw the Helcat begin to move. "Wasn't ignoring you - I was trying to give the leader the chance." He replied, simply, as the Helcat took off. He had to laugh a little bit - it was a Helcat, but it couldn't outrun the Glow Fox - not by a long shot.
He pulled up behind the Helcat, willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Caleb was not going to play de facto leader if he could help it. He knew that whoever assumed responsibility for success, also assumed responsibility for failure.
Then again - Caleb wasn't known for his failures. Still, this was a problem - Covert meant that if they came in contact with someone, they would have to hope to take them down without him or her getting the word out. He could shut down the radio, but... he'd be making a big flash to do it. Temporarily and powerfully illuminating the whole place.
"This is supposed to be covert. So, shouldn't we be trying to avoid whatever is coming this way?" He asked, simply.

"This could be what made backdraft return to this base." Rui said over the radio as the two zoids ran down the hallway. The Radar began picking up a zoid ahead of them. From the radar it was a midsized zoid, but the radar could be tricked. It was just around the corner. As Rui pulled back on the throttle to drop speed, she heard something rattleing from underneath the seat.
After Helcat had dropped back to a walk as they carefully approached the corner, Rui reached under the seat and pulled out a stainless steel box with the Guylos imperial mark on it. The same mark that Rui remembered on something sitting on the mantle in her old home, an old key whose purpose was never discovered. The problem was that this case was itself locked. It didn't rattle when Rui shook it, so she wondered what had made the rattling sound.
She again searched under the seat and discovered an old Guylos service pistol. It was fully loaded with one round chambered and ten more in the clip. It looked like a semi-automatic 22. It also had the Guylos Royal Insignia on the grip. It was carefully placed in a leather holster and belt that looked only a tad too big for Rui herself to wear. They were almost at the corner. Rui placed the box back under the seat and belted on the handgun, then turned on Helcat's op-cam.
The two of them hopped around the corner, hoping that Calib would hang back until Rui said it was safe or they needed help.

Caleb was no fool - as the Helcat all but 'vanished', he killed all of his lights - including the bay lighting, and the com-screen. He didn't want to be caught off guard because of that. Audio, however, was still on; There was a chance Rui would need his help, and he had to be ready.
Taking a step back, he waited, quietly. There was not much for him to do - he had no further movements, and their leader was still MIA. There were very few reasons he could come up with for going back for him - perhaps he'd ring the ZBC and let them know just how much help he was being.
Checking his controls, he double checked, and made certain he was ready to launch the flashbangs.
"Rui, what do you see?" He asked, keeping his voice a whisper, as if that would make it more difficult to pick up.

Helcat quickly backstepped back behind the corner, making sure they were completely hidden before deactivating the op-cam. "It was red or orange, about the same size and shape as your zoid, and it made Helcat scared." But before they could come up with a plan, a red shadowfox with a larger than normal heat signiture came slowly around the corner. The pilot transmitted "Helcat and White Shadowfox, transmit your IFF signals, now."
Damn, the ZBC neglected to give them any IFF signals. So instead, Rui turned the op-cam back on and jumped at the wall to the Firefox's left, bounding off the surface and landing behind it before turning the op-cam off. The Pilot tryed to turn his zoid around, but because the passages were neither wide, nor tall, he had great difficulty. Rui could only hope that Calib used this opertunity to attack, as she trained both of the Helcat's weapons on the target.

A red shadow fox? No way - could it be another class of Fox type? He had to smile at that. When it finally made its way around, he looked rather uncertain. His own Hypercoolant made his own heat signature all but invisible, which was great for the most part - whereas the firefox seemed to not have that sort of trickery. Either way, the pilot was not hesitating for a moment. "Yes sir." He said - when Rui pulled his little stunt maneuver. It was rather impressive - one the Glow Fox probably couldn't perform, as it was still larger than that.
Nevertheless, the firefox was significantly distracted. With its head turned, it would only be able to notice the sudden illumination of the hallway - not the blinding white of the flashbang canisters, rather, the brilliant yellow of energy. Caleb didn't have time to yell anything amazing or profound - the Strike Laser Claw would be embedded as hard as he could do without much speed behind him into the zoid's side, closer to the top, where the communications array had a much larger chance of being located.
One way or the other, there was going to be plenty of damage. Point blank SLC's without any form of evasive actions could be problematic.

The Firefox jumped towards Calib, orienting the vulcan so it wouldn't be hit by the attack. The attack, while it did hit the side of the zoid, only the paws hit the side, lodging the claws in the back armor. The zoid aimed the back mounted vulcan at the now immobalized fox zoid and it's intruder pilot.
Rui, seeing the Vulcan aim down where the Glowfox most likely was, powered on Helcat's weapons and aimed a burst from the back mounted gun at the joint holding the Vulcan up. A timely burst from the chest mounted one was fired off less than a second later, aimed at the Firefox's back-right leg.
The bursts hit their marks, throwing the Vulcan's aim off, fireing a line of rounds that aimed down the Glowfox's spine, up the far wall, and across the ceiling. The red fox zoid tried to jump back to get a better shot on the Glowfox, but couldn't. His back right leg couldn't hold the zoid up, the Hydrolics had been hit.
