At Last, Face To Face

[Jager]

The Command Wolf that was once a feint dot in the distance now arrived at the battle coordinates. Jager was to meet his opponent-The Marvelous Tactition. Or at least that's what he called him. Jager is a bit of a 'Curious George' so it is no surprise that he heard about this man. He'd never seen him before. All the info he could gather was of his tatical prowess and his zoid-a standered-colored Saber Lion. Well, there was no sense in trying to figure him out. He would test his so called, 'Tactical Prowess' soon enough...with his own. Jager looked up to see if he spotted a blue dot in the sky, but no luck.
"Hm...she's hiding a little too well."

[Ryûsuke]

“Thump..thump..thump”

This was the only resonance prominent over the tranquil, hushed wind. However this sound was amplified drastically, a fair distance away from the host of the designated battle and his unobjectionable Zoid model was a rather large outline, moving across the meadow frenzied plains with not only near the imperceptible alacrity, but the reverberation of its colossal supports bashing against the ground with every movement. This sound would have only been generated by a structure, hefty enough to place enough credence and pressure against the ground, and those were the two key factors which could describe the progressing Saber-lion approaching the still standing Pilot and his stationed Zoid.

Piloting this impressive animal familiar was a young prodigy who commonly went by his forename, Ikazuchi Ryûsuke. The dark haired talent had currently be scouting the area for what could be considered as a decent spar between Zoids, his goals were to impress enough locals and officials so that he could be better recognized and gain access into a faction. However this goal was only accomplishable by striving and constantly proving to others that you are serious about what needs to be accomplished to achieve such a goal.

Moving in closer onto the stationed zoid ahead, the purple eyes of Ryûsuke locked onto the sensory screen within his cockpit as his radars targeted a large structure just up ahead, a Zoid. Increasing the velocity and speed of his forth moving Zoid, Ryûsuke would make his way towards the open field and within moments a large mound of dusk compiled within the area as the Saber-lion maundered into a swift halt only a few yards away from the opposing Command Wolf. Opening his Cock-pit, Ryûsuke would station himself within his seat as he awaited a reaction from the Command Wolf, surely an entrance in which one he had just manifested would cause some type of cautious interest within the other pilot.

“Are you Jager?”

Questioned Ryûsuke from the comforts of his cockpit as the dark haired Pilot gazed upon the Command wolf and its beauty. Haven’t seen one this close up in some time, the feeling of amazement never really left; however at the moment, Ryûsuke was awaiting the arrival of the other two combatants that would take place in this forthcoming battle, but the question was which one was Jager? Waiting on Tai, his fellow Black Knights member as well as the mysterious other from the opposing side, Ryûsuke would scan over his surrounding area, taking a detail note of everything that could be used to his advantage.

[Jager]

Jager responded to through the open channel, "Where is your partner?" He didn't reveal his identity. For all the opponent knew, Jager could be either one of his opponents. This was supposed to be a 2 on 2 battle. The wind picked up. The dirt and grass trailed the wind's path. Floating swiftly around both Zoids like rose petals in the summer. The whole scene made Jager nostalgic. It was like the kind of thing that happens in a movie when two enemies stare down. He looked up once more...nothing. She must be using the clouds for cover. Now how was he supposed to see her, though? He looked around the area. He'd scanned the area before the battle with the Pteras. A tree line-the border of the forest-stood on his right and the vast plains on his left. The only place for cover was the forest and various boulders the size of the zoids along the plains. He figured the Saber-Lion was built for close-ranged combat so he thought about what the best scenario would be.

[Tai Adazume]

Tai showed up a little bit after ryusuke. "Am I to late." He noticed that their only seemed to be one opponent their. Which was kinda stranger since this was a 2 on 2 battle. He noticed the command wolf. It seemed they had the same zoid which wasn't to bad. It would be about whose zoid was more souped up and who was a better pilot. His eyes didn't leave watch as he adjusted his gloves and placing his googles down. He felt confident in this battle. He heard that ryuskue was a great pilot. so he did have sometime of help. "Wait where is your partner?" He asked as he looked around. Just as he had expected their was still time. So he could definently still battle in this match.

[Jager]

Jager spotted the Command Wolf coming to a halt beside the smaller Saber Lion. The pilot joined in though the COM and his voice broke through.
"Oh, she's around," Jager replied. He immediately looked to the Command Wolf. Knowing that Ryuuske would no doubt figure it out. The sky was abundant with clouds and the wind was slow today. Yes, he would figure it out eventually. The sudden rumbling in the sky snapped Jager's attention to the judge capsule rocketing down and slamming into the earth a mile from where they stood. The black cylinder rose from the crater and opened. To reveal the dark judge.
"Here we go..." He muttered to himself.

The Razgriz Team versus the Black Knights! Battle mode 0999-"

"Don't hold back." Jager demanded as he shut out the other command wolf and spoke only to the Saber Lion.

"Readyyy...FIGHT!"

[Ryûsuke]

The grime who once resided in the atmosphere had now finally calmed as the clear transparency had returned, giving Ryûsuke not only a faultless perception of the antagonist’s Zoid sculpt, but a unambiguous viewpoint of its structure. Noticing mortar like features and other destructive weapons, Ryûsuke could immediately tell that either this zoid was customized to the tee, or was purchased at a reasonably high price; either way quite impressive. However the question was, could the persona handle such a mechanism, as opposed to the youthful genius’s proficient use with the Saber-Lion.

Sitting peacefully within the hanger of his Zoid, the bright light of his connection monitor brightened the entire cock-pit, and with the light came a distributing annoyance as Ryûsuke shifted his attention towards the screen, noticing the babbling of the Opposing Command Wolf’s pilot. This should have been predictable, the appearance of his foe not only merged perfectly with his attitude, but he seemed like the bold, irritating type. Now this was only coupled by the broad use of profane words which engrossed the monitor as Ryûsuke gazed onto the screen with his purple eyes, chuckling slightly.

“It would be better for you to lessen your attentiveness on me, and more on my Teammate.”

Exclaimed Ryûsuke as he directed the comment towards Jager and Tai. Though having a abundance of confidence within Tai, this method was also used as intimidation to distract his opponent and make him focus more on Tai, leaving him open for a assault if needed. Still keeping this thought within his mind, Ryûsuke would direct his attention towards the comment made by Jager directed towards his arriving teammate. Looking around it was obvious that nothing was fast approaching, this could mean only two things: one being that his opponent wasn’t even within range, and secondly that it could be airborne.

With both thoughts in his mind, Ryûsuke tighten the grip on his controls as the Black Judge capsule announced the beginning of the battle between the two teams. Taking a few steps back, the Saber-lion kept his golden eyes on Jager’s Command Wolf as distance between the two were created, hopefully Tai could handle himself at the moment and the two could leave with a victory. Readying the zoid for any sudden movements, Ryûsuke had marked his territory and now it was time.

[Velvet]

"I'll leave the purple one to you than." Velvet's voice sounded through the COM but was drowned out by the stone-cold concentation Jager presented toward his opponent. Velvet dove down at an intercept course for the enemy Command Wolf. She fired her Pteras' vulcan guns, aimed directly at the Wolf's body. She had to make sure she played an important part in thsi battle. She'd look bad if Jager took them both down. He'd never let her hear the end of it. Her Pteras sped by the cockpits of the two enemies going at a near sound breaking speed.
"Here, Wolfy. I'll be your opponent today!" Said Velvet through the COM link.

[Tai Adazume]

The command wolf was on the run once he heard the shots from the sky. How fun? He was stuck with the girl in the air. He aimed five shots at her on her way back into the sky. "Great" he said with absolutely no emotion through the com link. He continued on the run as he turned the com link only to Ryusuke. "When we finish this you so owe me." He had trust in him so that was all that counted now.

His looked at the command wolf one more time. It seemed so weird that it didn't move when the battle started. Yet it was none of his business. He had no problem with shooting first.

[Jager]

Jager kept the Command Wolf in it's place. His targeting system worked fast as the Saber Lion simply moved back. He had him in his sights and an easy lock-on as well. He didn't shoot though. The Saber-Lion was more agile and better fit for close combat. If it got too close he'd be at a disadvantage. Shooting at it now wouldn't be easy. It could easily dodge the shots. He tuned off the targeting system, for now. He just kept his aim on the Saber Lion. The AZ Cannon would be his best bet against a close-ranged zoid. He just had to keep it away long enough.
"Don't forget your training, Velvet." Jager reminded Velvet. She responded with shutting off the COM. As her abilities increase her attitude stays the same. Same old Velvet.

[Ryûsuke]

Disconnecting the COM link between Jager and with both hands planted firmly against the twofold control system which rested in front of his position, his lilac eyes fixed on the stationed position of the Command Wolf and its Pilot, Jager. This would prove quite the fascinating battle thought Ryûsuke as he continued to hold a composed, impassive gaze as he soon began to analyze the compound of the Command Wolf. Not having any information on his opponent, it would be hard to generate any sound strategic plan to fend off against the Wolf’s attack. However the same would be said for Jager as he himself hadn’t possessed any physical information pertaining to Ryûsuke’s skill.

Still making a somewhat moderate attempt to calculate a effective plan against the Command Wolfs’ build, a searing screech engrossed the area as a sweeping blur flashed across the digital monitoring system of the Saber-Lion’s sensory system, and with that Ryûsuke’s suspensions were soon confirmed. Taking a look to the left momentarily, Ryûsuke noticed a shower of bullets plummeting towards the ground as Tai and his command Wolf took to the run, a true testament to an evasion specialist.

So you plan to gain a defeat from the sky, however I own the terrain in which me and you are bound to.

Though Ryûsuke as the Saber-lion continued to create distance; however after noticing the attack it was now evident that this battle had begun and nothing would be accomplished so with that it was time. Pushing the controls forward and displaying fleet adjustments, the Majestic Saber-lion would soon halt from its backing and soon rushed forward with impressive velocity. However it didn’t move in a straight arrangement. However that of a meander motion, creating a difficult target in its self; as distance began to close and the right maul of the Saber-lion began to glow as Ryûsuke had activated his High Friction Claw.

“Tai, aim for the wings of the Pteras with your most accurate weapon; due to its build, the wings wound prove the most venerable part of its cadaver.”

Exclaimed Ryûsuke in a clam tone as he spoke threw the COM in which only allowed Tai to hear him, the other between him and Jager was previously disconnected. Hopefully Tai understood and could effectively display a good inoculation and inevitably dismantle the bird Zoid.

[Velvet]

The Pteras barrel-rolled away from the Wolf's projectiles and climbed the sky, well over the Wolf's AZ Cannon range. It passed through the clouds, hiding amongst them before emerging from behind the Wolf and shooting it's Vulcan Gun in short-round bursts. Meanwhile, it's partner-the other Command Wolf-did battle with the Saber-Lion. The Pteras passed over the enemy wolf after shooting it and barrel-rolled to the side once more. Then climbed back up and began circling the Wolf from above. Ocassionaly shooting off a couple of rounds from it's Vulcan guns.

[Tai Adazume]

The command wolf started straight for the forest avoiding all of the shots. This was his only peefect timing. He couldn't be seen from their. He was at a huge disadvantage anyway. So this is how it would be done. He shot 3 shots from the shade hoping to catch a few shots. If it wanted to hit him it would need to come closer then that. That was the plan get this thing to him so he wouldn't be finished off leaving ryusuke alone.

[Jager]

Jager aimed and fired. The shots erupted from the AZ Cannons like bright-green fireworks illuminating the sand beneath their air-piercing path. The scorched the air as they passed and mised the Saber-Lion just barely. Shot after shot they missed. A skilled an experienced pilot would figue that the radical movements of the Saber-Lion would make it difficult for even a target-locked shot to make it's mark. The Command Wolf didn't move though. It continued it's rapid-fire assault as the Saber headed in it's direction.
"Relax. As much as it may seem like it, were not going to lose this battle. We'll pull through, trust me." Jager reassured his anxious wolf. The Command Wolf was not used to standing still and shooting off rounds that were bound to miss. Even so, Jager continued the horizontal rain-fall toward the evade-worthy Saber-Lion. There was no doubt about it, that Saber-Lion really was agile.

[Ryûsuke]

“This soon?”

Questioned Ryûsuke to himself as he continued to masterfully maneuver the responsive, and quick Saber-lion as the majestic beast not only hastily congested the distance between the two, but also evaded the straight firing attacks from the back mounted cannon of the Command Wolf. With this information it was sure to say that Jager and his Command Wolf were at a inevitable disadvantage: firstly now within a comfortable range, the Saber-lion which stood a entire meter and a half shorter then the Command Wolf would soon be out of the firing range of the AZ Cannon unless the Command wolf lowered; and secondly due to the Command Wolf being Stationed, it virtually had no momentum or velocity to propel itself if Ryûsuke intended to attack from such a close range within the needed time frame.

Still moving in the meander proposition as its High Friction Blade still illuminated from the Saber-lion’s right maul as the distance between the two was now secure, nothing besides an external force would in theory be able to thwart the actions subsequent this moment. Near 50 Km’s faster then the Command Wolf, this also suggested a faster reflexive reaction then Jager’s Zoid: also there were two key factors that played in the favor of Ryûsuke, one being momentum and the other being motion.

“Jager, you fought well.”

Exclaimed Ryûsuke as he would soon attempt to end this battle with this uncomplicated, but effectual move; still in the crisscross, the Saber-lion ended its arraign as it was slightly beneath the body frame of the Command Wolf, and thus was out of range from the cannon. With its weapon already stimulating, the mighty Saber-lion would lift its paw as it lowered its body towards the Zoid and soon gave a fleet flounce across the neck region of the Command Wolf, hopefully this attack would end the battle. However, Tai needed assistance as he was fighting at a shortcoming at the moment, maybe the forest would provide faultless shelter.

[Velvet]

Seeing as the enemy Wolf wasn't going to be much trouble Velvet headed back toward the scene between the Command Wolf and the Saber Lion.
"I wonder what his plan is..." Velvet muttered to herself. It was obvious that the Saber-Lion was a close-ranged zoid. Going up close would put the Command Wolf at a disadvantage. Did he have a card up his sleeve? The Pteras circled the Command Wolf and Saber-Lion. Velvet watchd the battle intently, now seeing that the Saber-Lion made the first move. At least it seemed that way but the way Velvet saw it: Jager was the white knight. And the white knight always goes first...
