Shizuka was enjoying her coffee while reading a small book that she is holding in her left hand. Smirking to herself, she muttered quietly, "Clever, it would do me good to remember this one" What she was referring to was, of course, the line used by the author in the book that she was reading.
Putting her drink aside as she jotted down the line in her notebook, Shizuka pondered on how long she should be staying here. After all, while her main reason of stopping here was to regather supplies, her secondary objective to get an ally or two still has not been met. Shizuka shrugged, and decided to give both objectives a little more time since she was in no rush. Mindlessly stirring her drink a little more, she returned to her book as it ruthlessly grabbed her attention yet again.

Jack was the next one to walk into the area, believe it or not, it wasn't much after he had left Lenna to herself for the day. He entered (wherever she is right now, somewhere in the city), and pondered over his next course of action. He had a team to build and everything, so he didn't have much time to toss around these days. He knew he had tons of paperwork, and just wanted a quiet, calm, refreshment rich place to do the paperwork that no one, not even him wanted to do. It was hard being a team founder, but it was fine.
Before long he saw another girl drinking her coffee. Deciding to not be bothersome, he went to sit a small ways (or tables) away from her, sitting and beginning to sign his not numbersome, but detailed paperwork for becoming an official Zoid Comission warrior.

Shizuka glanced over at the male who entered the area, but paid him no mind as she went back to her reading. After spending a few more moments being utterly absorbed in the book's fantasy world, she took note of the time. Quickly finishing up her drink, she got up from her seat and proceeded to go check up on her Guysak.
On her way past the male, however, she noticed that he seems to be working on some paperwork. Today, curiosity got the better of Shizuka and as such, she approached the male and peered over her shoulders. While not knowing what he was working on, she did recognize the Zoid Commissions Logo on the papers, so it probably something zoids related. Deciding that her Guysak should be all right for another hour or so, she casually approached the male and asked nonchalantly, "So, what exactly are you working on?"

"Oh, hi there. I'm just working on applications for a Zoid Battle team is all. It's a lot of paperwork, but it'll be worth it when I'm finally done. I just got enough people to create a minimum team yesterday, and of course, they left me to do the paperwork." He said to her, shrugging lightly. He was surprised the girl came over to her, but wasn't upset or anything.
"Yeah, our team should be doing alright."

Shizuka grabbed a seat next to the male, paying no heed to whether she is invading his personal space or not. Frankly, she doesn't care, and if he feels uncomfortable, he could just ask her to leave. Looking over his shoulders, she commented dryly, "Just a team of three and there are so much paperwork?"
She also took her time to look over the applications, and noted that it seems like that this group are just a handful of beginners banding together. After taking a moment to ponder about the situation, Shizuka added, "And what, may I ask, is the main focus of this group?"

"The Main focus of my group?" He asked her in return, he shrugged lightly. "I guess we're just a bunch of young Warriors that love Zoids, you know? But in all honesty, our team is all about partnership. Lose together, win together. See, if you haven't figured out the name Sigma yet, I'll explain. Sigma is the sum of all within, the end result when you all combine for the good of the team. Teamwork. Sigma is like a Unit, so essentially, it's like saying 'The Army of One.' So, I guess that's the focus of the team, per say. A little corny, but pretty cool if you ask me."
He shrugged again.
"Besides, the name is pretty awesome anyway, so it works."

She cannot help but give a light smirk at his answer. After all, while it was not an answer that Shizuka was expecting, it was a simple but brilliant goal. Also, as an added bonus, the group's name is quite nicely chosen also. After taking another pause, she answered his comment, "Clever choice of words there, to say the least. You anywhere close to done the paperwork though?"

"Not even. And quite honestly, the paperwork is just a pain, you know? There really shouldn't be this much, it doesn't make much sense. I just hope I have enough people to make an effective team, some of these other teams in the commission are absolutely huge, and they have tons of money to work with. We'll see though, I suppose, after all, it's not long after I finish the paperwork that we start getting called on for battles."

From that response, Shizuka grabbed a paper that he has already filled out and carefully looked over the details. In her mind, it doesn't really look that complicated as long as you do know what you are doing while filling in the form. Since she is kind of gotten bored from this conversation, and the fact that she has time to spare, she offered lazily, "Need any help filling these things in? With my help, you can probably get it done in half the time, although I may or may not charge a little fee at the end depending on how much actual work I do."
Towards the battling, she does wonder if this guy can actually do well in battles. If someone is taking this long for the paperwork alone, can he really think on the spot while in a battle? Shrugging slightly to herself, Shizuka decided that it doesn't really matter and awaits his answer to her previous question.

Jack looked over to her and blinked before looking back to his papers with a small smile.
"Sure, I could use the help, why not?" He shrugged lightly, as he placed another pen on the table from his pocked and continued to fill out papers.
"So, what Zoid do you use?" He asked. She had never mentioned it, and with all her questions, he kind of figured she was a pilot.

Taking her pen from the table, Shizuka started to work through the papers. Some of these slots are common knowledge, but there are a few areas where he is going to fill in himself, like the personal history type question. Of course, she grabbed the portion that she can fill in and fluently wrote down the valid information.
Answering his question, she said simply, "Oh, just a slightly modified Guysak. And how about you?" While Shizuka wouldn't usually answer a question from a total stranger like that, she is helping him fill out the forms, and it would be extremely awkward if she complained about the lack of trust right now.

"Right now, I fly a Buster Eagle, actually. I'm more of a person that likes the sky, not the ground. The ground is too...slow for my taste, no offense, but you can fly faster than you can walk, you know?" He shrugged lightly. "But I figure with a Guysak, you have your other ways of attack, do you burrow, maybe?"

She grinned snidely at the question and answered, "Now now, a girl can't go around spreading her strategy to random people, can she?" Keeping her attention on the work at hand, Shizuka continued, "Besides, we really should be focusing on finishing this up before it gets dark, correct?"

"True, I suppose." Jack said, turning his attention back to finishing the work, even though he knew she just didn't want to tell him her strategy, obviously. Although, at the moment, talking about trust issues was kind of awkward, though he didn't say anything.

As the pair silently worked on the task at hand, Shizuka started to wonder what was going on in his head during this awkward silence. Time passes, and the duo are making good progress with the papers. So, deciding to take a short break to rest up her brain, she looked over at him and asked in a dull tone, "Speaking of which, you got a name? Or should I just keep addressing you as 'hey you' or 'fly boy'?"
